Here's an official message from the fine folks at Engineer records:

A quick bit of news to announce the release date for the "Hours and Hours: A Tribute To Seaweed" on Engineer Records is rapidly approaching (June 24, 2008).  We'd begun streaming tracks a few weeks ago in bunches of two, rotating through our MySpace player. Kicking it off first was Killwhitneydead and The Company We Keep (Treos/Moneen), though we've recently swapped them out with Kane Hodder's rendition of "Stagger" and The Fire Stil Burns' version of "Crush Us All". (You can still hear the initial two streaming from the band's own respective MySpace pages).  We'll update you every few weeks as we swap out streaming tracks  leading up to---and beyond this release.

There will also be a special "Pre-Order" going up on the web (three seperate places, UK, USA, Can) starting June 1st, for anyone desiring the tribute a little earlier along a little something extra included (Bonus Engineer CD, Ltd Ed. Button).  USA and UK you will be able to purchase thru the two Engineer Record's WEBSTORES (linked from the label site www.EngineerRecords.com), and for Canada you'll be able to pre-order through www.MyMerchTable.com with the same 'bonus' items.

This is a call to all vinyl labels out there: Gentlemen records aren't too good with the fine black stuff and we'd like to release the very successful "Bigger Mountains Higher Flags" as an LP. We'd give it away for free (you'd only pay for the mechanical rights) just for the thrill of having the record exist. If you're interested, please contact chris@favez.com.

A great Seaweed tribute compilation shall be released by Engineer Records in the months to come and we get to cover "Free Drug Zone". More on that later, here's the promo flyer, pretty cool, right?

Hello again all you kerazee germans, Bigger Mountains Higher Flags will be coming out tomorrow in your wonderful land, and as we've already said numerous times, we're proud as hell of this album, hope you guys like it! It'll be presented this weekend on motor fm, all the songs will get airplay, that means the whole 7'54 of the Goodby Song too, cool! Tell us what you think of the new direction, and if you don't like it, go and listen to the new Nofx live album and think about it... Bands who reinvent themselves and try new stuff, it ain't all that bad...

Yep, I know, the charts suck and James Blunt is number 1, but still, we're quite happy to announce our Gainsbourgly erotic place of number 69 on the swiss bilboard this week! Thanks you dear Swiss dames and sirs for buying our record, a pec on the cheek to all of you, see you on the road, heehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw!!!!!!!!!!

And for all of our international legal downloading friends, the new album is now available through eMusic. Good!

Friday is the Swiss release date for our brand new album "Bigger Mountains Higher Flags".

On this occasion, we'll publish every day this week 2 "video-drawing-clips". The videos were filmed by our own little selves at a festival in Switzerland, where all the members of Swiss drawing team "Le Joli Collectif" did one drawing per person (two for petra cause she does skulls and skulls never go out of fashion). They drew live for our camera while listening to a song. No net, pure danger, it's all live kids!

It means that on Saturday all clips will be published, and you'll be able to see and listen all new songs of the forthcoming album... Isn't Life Beautiful ?

Hey gang,

we're on tour again, and we're sort of searching through our extensive and glorious back catalog, wondering what songs we should play. Has anybody got any requests? Any songs you want to hear this year, that we haven't played for a while?

As far as the shows go, we'll be playing in the main cities of Switzerland until December and then, it'll be Europe! And then every village in Switzerland! And then, who knows... First shows are posted, keep on checking, we're looking forward to seeing you all!

As posted eloquently by Lechef yesterday, we are back in the saddle again!

Exciting times await the band as we are starting to uncover new grounds (new for us, that is....), first musically, as we've included massive keyboards mixed with a more subtle approach to the songs. We've told you all about the recording so we won't dwell on that too long, the album will be called "Bigger Mountains Higher Flags" and (wait for it...) we're EXTREMELY PROUD (and I mean goddam extremely proud) of this album, it's the first chapter in what we hope to be a very long story, we're going to be playing most of these songs live and we're soooo excited of what lies ahead...

Also different is the label we're releasing that album on: Stickman Records and Favez have parted ways (in a very friendly way, fear not, there were no sex scandals with cats or pissed off band leaving for a major or anything like that), and the new album shall be on GENTLEMEN RECORDS, which is the label of our manager Fig (aka Pig, aka Fisch). So yeah, the label started out 6 years ago, he's released quite a few great records (Appleseed Cast, Honey For Petzi, Toboggan, etc...) and the moment seemed just right to recenter the whole thing and go for a bit of Lausanneswitzerland luuuurrrve baby...

The songs will start appearing on the net pretty soon, so keep on checking, we're looking forward to hearing what yout hink of the new songs!
