Add the Slackstring side projects as friends on MySpace.

Latch Key Kid is Gavin's solo project. Coke licensed "Good Times" for a commercial that premiered during Super Bowl XLII

Musket is Eric and Matt, with Dave Latter (Great Northern, Everest) on bass and Brad Gerlach on rhythm guitar.

Slackstring will return, but in the meantime enjoy the new stuff.

Slackstring "Slackstring"/"Place To Be"

These two discs are some of the best indie acoustic folk rock that I have heard in a long time. In the same vein as Jack Johnson and Donavon Frankenreiter, this band takes the solo folk rocker and turns it into a full band with an incredible full sound. The emphasis is taken off slow soulful vocals and campfire tunes and and spread amongst the entire band, highlighting each and every member several times throughout. The jam band element is present in the background, as you can tell these guys live to play. Standout tracks include 'Sun Again Will Shine' and 'Sunday Jen', featured on both discs. Funky, folk-rock freestyler, Don McCloskey makes a guest appearance on the live disc, 'Place To Be', with an awesome rendition of one of his own tunes. Perhaps the coolest thing about the live album is that the disc was recorded at Nectar's in Burlington, VT which is where jam band legends Phish got their start. These guys are sure to amaze with future releases and surely become a household name amongst surfers and music lovers of the world.

about The Wailers:

The Wailers are the most celebrated reggae outfit of all time having sold over 250 millions records worldwide. No other reggae group has so many well-known hits to draw upon, whilst their reputation as a live act is unchallenged after performing to an estimated 24 million people around the world.
The Wailers have now unearthed a major talent in the shape of Yvad. A gifted singer/songwriter from Jamaica, whose youthful good looks and memorable songs complement the Wailers' own timeless material to striking effect. Inspired by musicians like Bob Marley and the Wailers, he embraces Rastafarism as his songs increasingly deal with universal themes.
Yvad's presence in the Wailers has brought freshness and vitality to an already celebrated line-up, including original members Aston "Family Man" Barrett - the king of reggae bass players - and Al Anderson, who's played and recorded with Lauryn Hill, Ben Harper, and James Brown, as well as Marley and Tosh.
