MARCH Things have been pretty bleak in the MMY camp for a long time, but we're finally back in the studio. This time we thought it would be a good idea to use a proper studio, so we're now at Tinnitus studios recording with Bjarte Ludvigsen. We have now recorded drums and bass guitar for "Colours gone cold", "Integrity", "Silvermule" and one untitled song. So far it sounds pretty good, and it was even a bit fun to be in the studio. MAY Drums and bass for two new songs have been recorded. The songs are so far untitled, but hopefully we'll find some titles soon. We've been experimenting a bit with the rythm section on these song, we think the end result will be good though. Some guitar has also been recorded for one of the songs. JULY Stig has recorded some awesome guitars for "Colours gone cold", "Integrity", "Silvermule" and one untitled song. The guitar sound is very heavy on the noisier stuff, and warm and rich on the more laidback stuff. It was a blast seeing (and hearing) Stig rock his heart out! Finn has recorded guitars, bass and a drumloop on yet another untitled song. I think we need more songtitles soon. OCTOBER The very slow-paced studio-project called MMY is slowly inching it's way to the finishing line. Vocals are now finished on "Silvermule". It's actually the first take Halldis did when we recorded the instruments, and it was so good that it only needed some small adjustments here and there. Way to go girl!!! She laid down the vocal parts for"Colours gone cold", and it turned out great. Watch out for a very interesting twist on the chours. Finally we worked with a lot of back-up vocals on "My angry eye". It sounds like there's a whole choir in the studio. Is it a bit over the top?! We have to wait 'til we start mixing before that question can be answered. NOVEMBER The vocals for "White palm" is almost done.
2008 FEBRUARY We have now started recording material for our first full-length cd. Drums and bass guitar for "Beyond the bitter end", "White palm", "My angry eye" and "My misery" have now been recorded. MARCH Stig has now recorded the guitars for "Beyond the bitter end", "White palm", "My angry eye" and "My misery". So far it sounds pretty amazing, and we can't wait to get in the studio and start to record the vocals. MAY/JUNE Most of the vocal tracks on "Beyond the bitter end", "My angry eye" and "My misery" are now finished. Halldis is doing a fantastic job with the vocals, we can't wait to get some new stuff up on our Myspace page.
The cd will be released on October Party Records in China, we're looking for other labels to release it in Europe, US and other territories.
