Strawberry Story (UK)

Forged from candyfloss and mint cracknel in the late eighties, Strawberry Story was a heady mix of fuzzed out guitars, dense bass lines and joyously girly singing. They had a few plays by the late great John Peel, got single of the week in the NME for "The man with the stereo hands" and went on to tour Japan. They recently reformed for charity and the gig went so well they've decided to play some more – we're glad they did. For fans of Talulah Gosh, Shop Assistants and the Primitives.

Cooties Attack are Holly and Huw, a bedroom disco punk band formed in Manchester.  They write songs about superheroes, crushes, fragile egos, Harry Potter, discos, queer scenes, and other such nonsense in a disco punk style. Think early Bis and Helen Love and you'll be halfway there.
