For those that give a rat's ass we completed the final tracks for our forth coming album. There's still a lot of work to do before it's released but there's light at the end of the tunnel.
Word to your mother's uncle, SugarD

It's been a while but we wanted to let you all know that the news of our demise has been greatly exaggerated! We're working hard on the new CD and it's coming along rather well. We're still pushing for an end of the year release but it's looking more like it
will be the beginning of 2009. Well, that's all there is and there is no more.
Peace out!
SugarD

Okay, so as we've mentioned in the past, we've been putting off releasing any new stuff until the CD is finished. But at this rate, we'll be listening to music via implants in our brains by the time the CD is complete, and the idea of an actual audio recording will make us seem even more out of touch, and out of fashion than we already are.
It Goes ... Is the latest song we are releasing. Not being ones to just flat out tell you what a song is about, for now we'll just say that it's theme is in line with the other songs of doom, gloom and pleasant valley sundays.
And as usual, we ask you to play it loud and often!
As a side note, we notice that the play count on My Space can get pretty high on a daily basis, but do any of you guys download the songs? If not, please download the song to your iPod and take it with you wherever you go! Especially since this may be the last free release.
Enjoy!

Hey Sugarheads!
We realize it's been ages since you've heard anything new from us, musical or otherwise, but we wanted to give you a heads up about what's going on with your most favorite band, Sugar dePalma. Yes, we are still making music together, and yes still at our usual snails pace. But the good news is, we are working on a full length CD, (we toyed with the idea of an EP, but thought you deserved better) and have 3 new songs under our belt. We are holding off releasing any of the new material until the CD comes out.
Anyway, we just wanted to give you this heads up to keep you from sinking to the depths of despair, wondering when the next Sugar D song will be coming out. Expect more updates as the release date of the CD approaches.
Until next time ...
Joe & Scott aka Sugar dePalma

So we know that we're not on the cutting edge of ... Well... Of anything. And we can be extremely slow when it comes to the "next cool thing", but we have just discovered one of the coolest things to happen to San Francisco in a looooooong time. We're talking about Pirate Cat Radio! That's right, it's a real pirate radio station in SF! It's an unlicensed, low powered community radio station, broadcasting at 87.9 FM.
We haven't listened to the radio in years, but with Pirate Cat Radio, we've listened to more radio in the last two weeks than the past 10 years combined.
Pirate Cat Radio plays a strange eclectic mix of punk, new wave and things I couldn't even begin to label. There are no commercials, (or at least we've never heard any). Only 1 cool song after another! They play anything from Radiohead to The Clash to The Raincoats to whatever.
Listening to this station reminds us that there was a time when bands didn't exist thinking only of the bottom line ... SALES!
The cool thing is that you don't have to live in SF to enjoy Pirate Cat Radio. You can listen anytime you're near your computer using iTunes. http://www.piratecatradio.com/listen.pls
Please go to www.piratecatradio.com and check them out!
That's our plug!

Written before the 2006 election and sung from the perspective of no-particular-western-leader, I Spy is Sugar D's prophetic cough at the shape of things to come (yes, we're prognosticators too). We hope you enjoy it. Play it loud...play it often...and please, share it with your friends!
