Coming soon to DVD and VOD from Shiny Object: Boston punk rock legends Unnatural Axe in You'll Pay For This!

"Director Tommy White presents a number of Unnatural Axe songs at different venues, like Cantone's, The Club, The Rat, The Paradise and through the various stages of the band, spanning the three decades Unnatural Axe has been performing. Many of the songs are intermixed with other footage to create individual videos and between songs are more recent interviews with band members Richie Parsons, Tommy White and Frank Dehler. There's also backstage shots in various shit-hole dressing rooms, one with Real Kids founder John Felice, and interview with Jan Crocker just to name a few additional tid-bits. "- Miss Lynn

Formed in 1977 in a Boston basement, Unnatural Axe became fixtures at The Rat, Cantone's and The Paradise, and brought their chaotic two and three chord punk throughout New England and New York, including CBGB's. Between 1977 and 1980, Unnatural Axe played countless shows and opened for bands such as The Dictators, The Plasmatics, Mission of Burma, and even The Police and Squeeze. Breaking up in 1980, Unnatural Axe has reformed numerous times for shows over the years and still occasionally play. Despite attracting the attention of Arista Records, Unnatural Axe only released a single 7" EP in the three years they were originally together - one that is highly sought after today. Since then, they have been featured on the Mass Ave comp released by Rhino, and on one of the highest-rated Killed By Death compilations, as well as other releases. Bands from around the world have covered Axe songs, including Italy's UFO Dictatorz, France's Splash Four, and most notably, The Dim Stars with Thurston Moore and Richard Hell. Assembled over a 7 year period by Axe guitarist and alumnus of the TV show Zoom Tommy White, You'll Pay For This! is the definitive compilation of Unnatural Axe footage, giving an energetic, beer-soaked glimpse at the early days of punk rock. The DVD will also contain rare footage of Tommy White's never finished punk rock horror comedy The Creeper, which also featured Unnatural Axe and punk radio pioneer Oedipus. You'll Pay For This has recently been selected for this year's Don't Knock the Rock film festival in L.A. The DVD release will also feature footage from the band's never-finished punk rock horror comedy The Creeper, as well as additional archival footage, photos and more. -www.Shiny-object.com
