Current mood: disgusted
is happening to the citizens of the United States? Why is it that foreigners who know English as a second language can spell it and use it properly, unlike us? We have seniors, and adults even, who cannot even tell the difference between common words such as your/you're and there/they're/their. It is infinitely boggling to my mind to believe this. How has the human race (Americans particularly) downgraded so far that we cannot even use words properly in our native tongue? I want to rip my hair out to read sentences written by seniors who can't spell wrap correctly (rap) or marshmallow. Are these not words we have been using since the age of eight?

Because everyone's an asshole these days.
And when my bones break, don't touch me.

Hidden meanings protrude from your skeleton and clang against my sunken body My sunken body sings for your sullen heart Your sullen heart escapes from my rugged hands My rugged hands moved lifelessly across your eager flesh Your eager flesh recedes from the gums of my rotting teeth My rotting teeth grip onto your stiff remains Your stiff remains become nothing more than the essence of the deceased

The sun sets and the blue green waters stop flowing in your eyes full of never ending possibilities waiting for me to open them up and find what I've been looking for. Not much but enough. Just for me, just for you. Take me home where I once belonged but only miss. I think that's it when you lay me to sleep, sing me a song of joy and nothing else fills my mind but sweet serenity. Some say it's strange I say it's me. Strong smoke in my head grabbing at my thoughts to tell you what I'm thinking. No longer mine, gone to see where the plains are great and golden summers spill into the canvas. I want to scream, I want to cry. I want to love, I want to feel. My boat is sinking, the sea calls my name. Awaken me to watch me fall into the death that awaits me.

-I am not Mexican. Don't dare call me that. Don't demean yourself, Mexicans, and others by calling every spanish speaking human being a Mexican. Mexico is an amazing country.
-I am not stupid or psycho and I am not a druggie.
-I don't see things the way most people see them. That doesn't make me a "freak".
-I find beauty where you see garbage.
-I love you. It doesn't matter who you are and why you are reading this. I don't care about your skin color, ethnicity, or language; I still love you.
-You are of flesh and bone and that alone is beautiful.
-Don't fight me with your fists, I will not respond.
-I am not immature. I am probably more mature than half of the people I know.
-I am misunderstood; most of the time.
-I don't take things for granted and neither should you.
-You cannot force me to think what you think. With my mind, I will think what I choose.
-I am strong. Never underestimate me.
-I won't judge you, even if you dislike me. I am sure you have your reasons.
-I am honest.
-I believe that everything around me holds wonder; I just need the time to find it.
-Don't tell me what to believe. I hold mine so strongly that it won't work.
-I don't take shortcuts in life, I want the full experience.
-I stand up for myself and others.
I am not "stupid".
I am not "crazy".
I am different.

Current mood: contemplative
i've realized that when i like someone (whether they are a friend or something more), i am different at first then i am once they get to know me. i try to seem very quiet and careless. but then once this person has gotten to know me i am always afraid that they wont like me for me and i push them away. i stop liking them because im scared that they will stop liking me and i dont want to be hurt. it seems so lame and illogical that if i like someone a lot i would just stop talking to them. i hate that im so strange and outrageous. i hate that a lot of people cant stand it.
i also hate how it seems that anyone could get to like me very easily, but very few stick around.

I want people to hear me sing and feel how much I enjoy it. I want them to feel the power of my words ring through their ears until they can't hear me anymore because they've soaked up every ounce of meaning I threw at them. I want to know I made someone feel the way I do when I see where I'm going. When I know how beautiful the world is and how great it is to live to see another day. I want them to know how wonderful it is to go to sleep knowing they'll wake up the next morning. I'm going to take these words that fill up in my head and come out of my mouth and I'm going to change something. I want to make something of myself and others that will leave a stamp on society for everyone to see.
