Well, it feels good :)

2009 started off with a BANG... as always, I spent it surrounded by family and friends... happy to have my mother in Philly with me for this one :) I also have to record a song New Years Eve and thanx to the home set up, I got it done... :) I still don't think I've topped the all time Ambrosius classic "1st Position" but I'm getting there... I set my standards waaaaaaaay too high for myself but I refuse to give nothing less than excellent :) I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday season and have set your goals for the year ahead and years to come... feels like a crucial time for planet earth right now.... everything is important... :) My resolution is to GET OVER IT!!! I do tend to hold onto unnecessary things... I'm letting go... AGAIN!!! lol :) its a process :)

Ok so... more than anything, people have asked me why this mixtape wasn't released as the actual album... coz the real album is THE REAL ALBUM :) I had so much music that I was holding onto for no reason, and sometimes when you hold on for too long, things become old and over with... I wanted to share moments that I'd been going through with you right now... sometimes< the release dates can't come quick enough... fortunately for me, I write too much :) All luv and Happy Holidays :)

As an artist who also plays the part of writer/producer etc, I have the tendency to just do... I don't consider consequence when it comes to art... whatever the effect, its effective, the music I make affects... hate it or love, thinks its aiight or hating coz it sounds nothing like what I sounded like 5 years ago... this mixtape is dedicated to being unafraid... some of these joints at one point were album contenders but ya know what, can't let them all sit down... don't wanna give some of them up either so my gift to you is music that would just be sitting down somewhere... Yours Truly is the album that once was :) My personal fave is "Cloud 9", nah "I lost You", ermmm "Take Care" ooh "Start... Finsh" yesssssssssss "Interlude (some type of way)" its frikkin great lol :) ENJOY... I do...

PS - My album "the work" is in a private safe, on an unnamed island surrounded by great white sharks... it will be available in stores to buy :) I'm guessing around '09 lol yeah release dates, gotta love them, they come and they go, they come and they go :) but timing is key, you know, like they say "all in good time"

I do nice things for nice people and JP is my peoples :) keep doin ya thing, promise I'll buy it a few times, not coz I know ya (coz I'd do that anyway lol) but because its a CHUNE :) Sawf London representing :)

Enjoy it while you're here... surround yourself with as much love and support as possible... sometimes, it's as simple as a hug and a couple reassuring words of encouragement... making it all worth while, making you feel like you are important to somebody... you always have the responsibility of self, no one will ever know the true you if you don't allow yourself to love you first... its ok to feel vulnerable, to have weak moments, but it could always be a whole lot worse... don't be afraid to ask for help, don't be afraid to not have an answer, don't be afraid... my heart, love and prayers go out to those who have loved and lost...

Hackers!!!! I can't be mad at u but for real for real... I also have a day job, song writing... I write and demo songs for a lot of artists... I understand that patience runs low and you have to have what you want now and I'm flattered to be of such interest but good things come to those who wait... even greater things come to those with patience... stealing is no good... retrieving mp3's from studios, emails, wherever your sources may come from, that don't belong to you is stealing... come on now... I want my music as much as the next person... with the way the internet is nowadays, you can get any song you want for nothing... I understand that... but taking songs that aren't paid for, aren't mixed yet and may not even necessarily be a part of anything to do with what that particular artist is on at the time is taking it a little too far... download the music I already released for free all you like... real music lovers always buy, I still buy music that deserves to be bought... you feel me??? I hope I got across what I'm trying to say to those who are supposed to get it... its all love and music :)

* to add to what I'm saying... people are releasing songs that don't belong to me... there are a few songs on a couple of websites that I had written for other artists... now thats where it is taken too far... I have to then go thru the "who sang it best" and "why did you give that one away" argument for no reason... DUDES!!! You'll get your music... wait till you get a tracklist from a label or something.. then try downloading it... FROM iTUNES!!!!! *
