I'm not afraid of anything in this world There's nothing you can throw at me that I haven't already heard I'm just trying to find a decent melody A song that I can sing in my own company
I never thought you were a fool But darling, look at you You gotta stand up straight, carry your own weight These tears are going nowhere, baby
You've got to get yourself together You've got stuck in a moment and now you can't get out of it Don't say that later will be better now you're stuck in a moment And you can't get out of it
I will not forsake, the colors that you bring But the nights you filled with fireworks They left you with nothing I am still enchanted by the light you brought to me I listen through your ears, and through your eyes I can see
And you are such a fool To worry like you do I know it's tough, and you can never get enough Of what you don't really need now ... my oh my
You've got to get yourself together You've got stuck in a moment and you can't get out of it Oh love look at you now You've got yourself stuck in a moment and you can't get out of it
I was unconscious, half asleep The water is warm till you discover how deep I wasn't jumping for me it was a fall It's a long way down to nothing at all
You've got to get yourself together You've got stuck in a moment and you can't get out of it Don't say that later will be better now You're stuck in a moment and you can't get out of it
And if the night runs over And if the day won't last And if our way should falter Along the stony pass
And if the night runs over And if the day won't last And if your way should falter Along the stony pass It's just a moment This time will pass

So, I officially put in my 2 weeks. This week could not go by any slower. I am so glad I finally did this. It feels horrible to work in an environment comparable to Big Brother. There is so much judgment, so much lying. So much BS.
At least I can finally close this chapter of my life, and find a job where I will be appreciated. I deserve so much more than this, it's time to start acting on it.
Good Riddance.

I don't get it. I don't like the doctor, I avoid the doctor at all costs. Only sick people go to the doctor and I'm not sick, nor do I want to be.
My current insurance plan hasn't covered anything I've even needed it for since I've had it.
Luke's surgery wasn't covered b/c it was "pre-existing". And we paid less than half of the cost b/c it was out of pocket.
So, what would happen if we hadn't even been covered on insurance for the past 1.5 years? We would have saved all the money we pay on bogus insurance premiums.
So, do whatever the heck you want with our health care system. As long as I am not going to be forced to go to the doctor, and care is not based on class... it really doesn't apply to me.
I think the fact that insurance exists at all proves the insurance industry is a sham in general. But America likes to shock us into a scared state of mind that suggests we should 'always be prepared'... for things that never happen.
whatevs.

I can't wait to get out of this sterilized suburbia wasteland. Rock landscapes, concrete mazes, the wannabe socialites. Nothing grows here, its all imported; landscaped. Our water comes from other states.
Its like discovering an old western movie backdrop. It looks real, and authentic even beautiful at first. But when you get closer, you realize its all fake and could fall at the faintest sight of conflict.
I need life, not a lifestyle mock-up.

Ever eat major brands of bread, crackers or cereal? Canned soups or
frozen dinners? If so, there's a good chance you're ingesting
genetically engineered soy, courtesy of chemical companies such as
Monsanto. And if this is the first time you're hearing about it, it's
because the U.S. government has allowed genetically modified organisms
to be released into our food without adequate labeling or testing.

I am shocked, appalled.
"Hi, I'm Mr. Joe America. If you would have asked me about Michael Jackson yesterday, I would have said something like : 'Oh that homo freak, messing with little boys should be shot. He can't even pick a skin color.' But today I change my mind and say something like : 'Oh, the king of pop, it's so sad what a shame."
The media makes me want to vomit. But not as much as the little brainless media zombie followers. Please line up @ my house tomorrow at 12pm so I can punch you in the face.
The media chewed him up and spit him out. He was labeled as "Jacko" and "Jackostein" just skimming the top. He was exploited throughout his entire life, and now beyond.
But, whatever story gets the most attention right?
It's sick.

(speculative) CBS News articleOur world is overpopulated. With technology booming, we are forgetting about nature and the Great Outdoors. Most people don't know how to manage a simple garden in their backyard. And we continue to carelessly pollute and disregard this planet. Its time we step up and become responsible for our futures, instead of whiny little bitches in denial. This is your planet, get off your ass and do something about it. No one is going to do this for us. What you can do:-Eat more beans instead of meat, they are also high in protein. -Buy eco friendly cleaning products. Remember, these chemicals are rinsed, flushed down our water pipes, into our ecosystems. -Use a rag instead of paper towels. This works even for glass, you just have to give more effort (oh no) -Grow your own fruits and veggies. -Take the bus. -Exercise so you can fuel yourself into taking action. -Stop trashing this planet we are handing down to our children, we are so selfish. -Adopt instead of having your own kids. This is good x2! Most importantly: Don't hijack other opinions. Find out for yourself. You're at the computer anyway, might as well do something productive.

Hi Friends, It's all over the news: According to a report on June 16th by the Obama administration, global warming is "unequivocal and human-induced." And while we certainly applaud the return of science to the White House, listening to the science is only half of the solution. He has to act on it. Solving global warming is going to take serious leadership from President Obama. It's up to us to demand it. Tell President Obama to act on the science and take the lead on global warming today! What the science says we need to do is keep global temperature increases as far below two degrees as possible, achieve emissions reductions of at least 25% below 1990 levels by 2020, eliminate offsets that undermine reductions and to provide substantial international funding necessary to stop emissions from deforestation. Bottom line. Today's report is a clarion call that the President and Congress must do much more, and more quickly, to respond to the climate crisis. Time is running out. Take a minute to add your name to the list of people demanding that President Obama follow his own science and be a leader. Excerpt from Fatherhood:
I.O.U. Aggravation
The flow of money between generations always seems to be a problem in American families. Now that my father is a grandfather, he just can't wait to give money to my kids. But when I was his kid and I asked him for fifty cents, he would tell me the story of his life: how he got up at four o'clock in the morning when he was seven years old and walked twenty-three miles to milk ninety cows. And the farmer for whom he worked had no bucket, so my father had to squirt the milk into his little hand and then walk eight miles to the nearest can. For five cents a month. And I never got the fifty cents. But now he tells my children every time he comes into the house, "Well, let's just see if Granddad has some money for these wonderful kids." And the moment they take the money out of his hand, I call them over and take it from them. Because that's my money.

seriously? even if you are athiest, how could you disagree with this? he was like, the ultimate activist. i've never thought of it like this before. it really is a shame to think what we've done (generally speaking) with his vision, or movement. yes, the ultimate peace movement. it makes silly little orgs like PETA seem pretty laughable. (as if they really needed help...) onto another topic: Green Day really? yes. i'm going there. did you really have to ask? i am just so on cloud nine right now, even though i am having strange green day thoughts. so this little musician circle i seem to be linked to gives me mucho insight into the exclusive musical world, lol. and SOME (by this I mean ONE) friend of mine is less than pleased w/ the new album. and its a bummer. only because i have never met a fellow fan as enthusiastic as i. as i'm sure none of you have either...RIGHT? thats right. well this fellow fan has had his heart broken by the new record, which is really sad to me, its like losing a member of a brotherhood. i totally don't agree with his reasons, but i can totally understand why he is disappointed. i mean, i'm just a listener (I've just learned this is what musicians call us, btw) but I think i can appreciate the music in a different way. collectively i can see what this album means, and it really means something big. i just really marvel at the talent so obviously bleeding through the lyrics and idea of the album. and for me, that's enough. maybe its an aquarius thing? but musically, he has a different opinion. being a 100% fan, I just can't say it so i won't. i'll just say i'm not disappointed. at. all. BUT. i will say i am anticipating the next album and wished it hadn't taken 5 years to put this one out. all of that being said, this new album is full of true/old fan goodies. there are old album and "historic" references all over the freakin place. and i love love love it. i would say the most interesting part about getting a new green day album, is getting to understand and be a part of someones artistic transformation. seriously though, it really is depressing to lose one of the brotherhood. big sad face.

Interview with Green Day (excerpt): "Armstrong can't say if Green Day's next record will be another concept monster or just a hip bunch of punk songs. But he will know the idea when it comes, "because it hits me like a ton of bricks. And it's not just an idea. It's an obsession."

Squishy has had a swollen paw for the last couple of days. Upon inspection... squeezing squishy... I decided there were no broken bones. He prob got into a disagreement with a scorpion or spider. Kyle surprised me and made accomodations for him by keeping the back gate open for easy food access. And both of us have been carrying "Squishy, formerly known as Travis, now dubbed wobbly-hobbly" wherever he needs to go. He gets air lifted to the water bowl, to the couch, to the food bowl, back to the couch, to and from Luke's room, and outside, back inside, basically anywhere we think he wants to go.
However! I believe he is now faking his injury!!! His paw is SO not swollen anywhere and he keeps limping a long. Kyle said he wasn't limping very much at first (when it was most swollen), but once I started babying him, he started limping more.
And now he keeps limping, with no swelling.
I think our feline is faking it!
