If you're on tour and would like to make a stop at the BBT, you have to contact the first band listed on our calendar for the date you want and ask them to add you to their bill. We don't add bands to any bill, we only book the headliner. If the date you want is listed as open, you have to find local support in order to book the date. If any member of your band is under 21, note that we don't book under 21. If you need a guarantee, note that bands play for the door here, and your portion of that will be at the discretion of the local bands on the bill.
Thanks, BBT

There was a fire on the second floor of the Tavern last night. Everybody got out safely, but there's water damage in the Tavern, so we'll be closed for a while to clean up. Hopefully, it won't be too long. Thanks to everyone who stopped by or sent messages of concern... you guys are great. We'll keep you updated on when we're reopening.

Starting September 11th, you'll be able to enjoy your perogies without a side of cigarette smoke. But for those of you that still enjoy your smokes, you'll be able to light up on our brand new deck. Stop in and check it out...

Current mood: overstimulated
If you're a local band, all it usually takes is a phone call or e-mail to get a show here. We don't do mid-week shows, we have live bands on Fridays and Saturdays. We don't need a demo... you just need to be able to draw a crowd. You have to be willing and able to promote the show with flyers, myspace, etc. Don't assume people know about a show if you don't tell them. We're not a big place...it's really not that hard to pack it. When you book, you'll be told you need to add at least two other local bands to your bill. We want more bands on the bill to increase the draw, not to fill time, so let the other bands know that they need to promote the show also. If you don't know any other local bands, SPEAK UP and we'll certainly help you fill your bill. Don't wait until a week before your show and tell us you couldn't find anyone. And when you add bands to your bill, let us know who they are.
If you're not local, you'll need to get a couple of local bands to confirm a date here and add you to the bill. We're very receptive to touring bands, but we need locals on the bill to make it a good night for the tavern.
Bands play for the door here, no exceptions. We don't give guarantees. The band sets the cover, the band collects the cover, and the bands split the cover however they see fit. We make our money off of food and booze. That's where the thing about bringing people to your show comes in.
We have an in house PA available to use free of charge. We don't employ a sound tech. You have to run your own sound. If you book here, get down to the tavern and check it out before your show. It might not be up to your standards. If it's not, bring your own. But don't show up the night of the show and bitch about our PA.
All shows at the BBT are 21+. No exceptions. Don't even ask. If you're a band trying to book here, you will be asked if all of the members in the band are over 21. If you have someone underage in your band, we won't book you. If you don't know how old the members of your band are, you should probably ask them before you book here. If you don't know how old the members of the bands you add to your bill are, again, you should probably ask them. If you don't know or don't ask, and somebody shows up without ID, they won't be admitted. Don't waste our time and yours by booking here and not being up front about how old you are. Don't think you can just show up without ID and we'll let it slide. We won't. Don't bitch when the doorman cards you. Put your guitar down and show him your ID. It's not that big of a deal. Some of us wish we looked that young.
Our shows run from 9pm to 1am. You can start as late as 10pm if you want, but you have to be done by 1am. Show up on time. If you have a four band bill, make sure each band has enough time. Account for load-in/out. Don't put the last band on at ten to one and bitch when they only have ten minutes to play.
We're always looking for new bands to play here. Send us a message if you're interested in booking.
