GET BASSED - MIKE GORDON FALL 2009 TOUR
We're pleased to announce that Mike and his band will embark on a 20-plus date Fall Tour beginning just after Labor Day in Brooklyn, NY and winding down at the beginning of October in Burlington, VT.
The headlining club tour features a return to Park West in Chicago, Barrymore Theatre in Madison, State Theatre in Falls Church, and first time stops at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, Town Ballroom in Buffalo and a north-of-the-border trip to the Mod Club in Toronto, Ontario. And yes, there's even a stop in Florida!
After two highly acclaimed runs last year touring on the release of his album The Green Sparrow, Mike returns with the same five-piece lineup, including longtime collaborator Scott Murawski on guitar, Vermonters Craig Myers on percussion and Tom Cleary on keyboards and Brooklyn drummer Todd Isler.

Three Free Mike Shows Over Two Days
Over the next two days, Mike will be performing three free shows. Tomorrow, Thursday, August 14, 2008 at noon, Mike will be performing and signing copies of his new album at Record Theatre in Buffalo, NY before heading downtown to play "Thursday in the Square" later that evening.
On Friday, August 15, 2008 Mike will perform a free concert in Burlington, VT in Waterfront Park overlooking Lake Champlain. In addition to Gordon's performance, Senator Bernie Sanders will address the crowd. Gordon and Senator Sanders last teamed up in 2006 to put on "Honky Tonk the Vote", a sold-out concert for voter registration in Burlington. Bow Thayer and Perfect Trainwreck will open the show.

Three new dates have been added to Mike's 2008 Summer tour. The band will play on August 12th at The State Theatre in Falls Church, VA and August 28th at K-TAOS Solar Center in Taos, New Mexico. Tickets are on sale now.
Mike will stop by Mountain Stage on August 10th for a live performance. Hosted by Larry Groce, this award-winning show is the longest-running radio program of its kind - over 1,200 artists have appeared on the Stage since it premiered nationally in 1985. The show is recorded weekly before an audience at the West Virginia Cultural Center in Charleston.

In the midst of his 2008 Summer Tour (supporting his upcoming solo album The Green Sparrow), Mike Gordon and his band will perform a free concert on Friday, August 15th in Burlington, VT in Waterfront Park overlooking Lake Champlain to kick off the 2008 Maritime Festival. In addition to Mike's performance, Senator Bernie Sanders will address the crowd. Mike and Senator Sanders last teamed up in 2006 to put on "Honky Tonk the Vote", a sold-out concert for voter registration at the Higher Ground nightclub in Burlington. Bow Thayer and Perfect Trainwreck will open the show.
