So... those of you who know me well know I can be a bit of a boo-hoo baby when it comes to movies, tv shows, etc... However, I think I've sunk to an all time low tonight. So You Think You Can Dance, Hell's Kitchen and SuperNanny ALL reduced me to tears tonight. Flipping reality television! Don't even get me started on Extreme Makeover Home Edition. I've stopped attempting to watch it. Honestly.

I'm doing the Master Cleanse diet. Day 3, and I'm not actually hungry yet. So far, so good. Feel free to discuss amongst yourselves & comment. If you're curious about the diet, there's an explanation at: http://mastercleansesecrets.com/step3.php

Day 6: Over half-way through, and things are good. I think I may actually finish out the 10 days. Food sounds tempting, but not enough to eat.

Day 10: It is the last day!!! While I feel fine and am still not really hungry, I am definitely ready to eat. Planned what I'm going to eat over the next few days and did some serious grocery shopping yesterday. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't having some cravings, but I'm proud that I am going to finish it. Other than getting bored with squeezing lemons, it wasn't so hard really.

And one last note... I broke my fast with Doritos at about 9 pm yesterday. Not exactly the recommended course of action, but my stomach doesn't seem too upset with my choice, and they tasted damn good.

This is a bulletin my friend Colleen posted. Please visit the site to support her & the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.

You all know that I've signed on for a third season of Team in
Training. This season, I'm committed to raising $3000. I'm sending you this email to beg shamelessly for support. "Support" could be in the form of donations, emotional support, or a cheering section on the day of the race. Also if you have any people you could forward this email to...please do so!

I wouldn't do a third season if I wasn't impressed by the Leukemia
Lymphoma Society. Yes, I signed on to be with friends, to be in
shape, and to be in a team environment. You all know that I am
happier when I am doing something active/competitive. However,
watching family members and close friends go through
chemo/surgery...well, I have to say that cancer just sucks. It kills
me to just have to sit by and do nothing. Being honoree captain this
season has affected me further. For the first time in my life, I'm
training alongside some of my teammates who are going through
treatment. The idea that Todd next to me on the bike, Mark passing me
on the run, Brenda in the hospital...climbing up the stairs, Myland
wishing he was strong enough to join us on the bike rides.....are/were
still smiling through it all....it just causes me to sit back and say,
"DAMN". I'm still here. I am healthy. I have today, and will most
likely see tomorrow. It makes even the most awful day a bit more
bearable.

I don't mean to get cheesy. I'm going to get off my soapbox now. Kudos to all of you for getting through this bulletin! Generous souls (or people who just plain think that I'm crazy) can donate via my fundraising website: www.active.com/donate/tntgsf (select my name from the drop down list).

Hope to see all of you soon!

With love,
Colleen O'Neill

Please visit the website www.savethetatas.com and buy lots of stuff! The tees are funny as hell, and (duh) a portion of the proceeds go to breast cancer research. Really, who doesn't care about the health of breasts everywhere?

... and I suppose I should say thanks to Nina for finding & pointing it out.

Thank the Lord she's going back. Very poor life choice to let her out in the first place, Lee Baca. What precisely was the plan of attack PR-wise? Can't have thought no one would notice. What justification could there be for letting a wealthy celebrity out of jail for a minor medical issue, other than her being a wealthy celebrity? Thankfully the judge has some sense, and she will find out that at least this time, her money and looks won't fix her problems.

I think her courtroom tantrum showed her true nature. Grow some ovaries girl, and deal. No, it's not going to be fun, but you earned it and you'll live.

Working on the theory that there may be a "short black men flip out" phase of the moon causing unpredictable and unacceptable behavior in aforementioned short black men. Would like this phase to be over soon so drama llama can quit following myself and those near and dear to me who are also dealing with this astrological oddity. Feel free to comment.

I'm quite surprised that apparently my blog has been read 19 times since I posted the Grammys section. I don't know if someone out there is reading it over & over again, or if there are really 19 people who give a fuck what I think of the Grammys, or relationships or past birthday celebrations. Whatever. I should be asleep. Thanks for reading???

Ok- I'm not going to comment about everything, just the things that catch my attention.

Mary J. almost made me cry. I like her (always have).

Whoever told Justin the self-taping portion of the performance was a good idea lied to him.

Why does Prince look the same (except for hairstyle) as he did in Purple Rain?

Very upset that I missed Corrinne Bailey Raye, John Legend & John Mayer together. Looked like it was amazing & I heard some of it through the wall from a neighbor. I was listening to minor & varied family crises on the phone. Actually, I have to go back to tending to those.

Not a huge country or dixie chicks fan, but I love that the little one who badmouthed W did the little "ha ha" from the Simpsons. Outstanding.

Carrie Underwood's hair & makeup were lovely, and her performances were solid. Her clothing, however, confused me.

Chris Brown- stepping was cool, & the little kids were adorable. However, that performance was clearly not about his singing. Looked a little winded, actually.

I think Christina did James Brown proud with her rendition of It's a Man's World. Say what you like about her hair & naked Sundays, the girl can sing.

Why does Isaiah Washington look like garbage? And why did they catch him checking his text messages during the show?

Runaway Love was a powerful performance. If I didn't love the song already, I would now. Mary J's outfit was awesome, and I liked Ludacris' undone bowtie/ lost jacket look. Wonder if the jacket will be on E-bay tomorrow...

I really don't like James Blunt's Beautiful. Maybe it's just his voice that bothers me.

The girl that won the My Grammy moment (or whatever) did an awesome job. I loved her dress & bag. The bag was a cylinder; yes, I'm a dorky Geometry teacher. Did Justin pay someone to be in every other performance?

I love, love, love RHCP. They're genuine, musically talented and funny. What more could you want? AAAAwwwww, Anthony loves his mama.

Not sure I agree with Dixie Chicks getting Album of the Year. So be it. I like that they're opinionated. Don't know any songs besides Not Ready to Make Nice. Definitely would have supported RHCP winning, but you already know how I feel about them.

Ok, it's over now. I'm ready for bed. I think they should do this on another night so I wouldn't be tired for work tomorrow!
