Once again I'm reviving MP3 Saturdays on grantthomasonline.com. I'm going to use it to showcase one minute previews of material from "four track wonderland" and new material/demos as they appear. This material will only be available for one week, so be sure to head over and check it out before its gone.

Since this is the first week MP3 Saturdays, I thought I'd treat you to two songs.

1. Monk for the Summer- A one minute preview of the album version of the song found on "four track wonderland". If you listen really close, you can hear Drew's crazy neighbors lighting bottle rockets off the roof and ricocheting off the windows. The take was lively enough as it was so we decided to leave it in the mix anyway. I spiced it up by adding paint peeling slide guitar riff played with a socket wrench part used as the slide.

2. Untitled 1- I finally have digital recording software and I am really feeling very much like the old dog with new tricks since I was born and raised on the analogue stuff. So I've been doing my best to muck around with it do things I know you're not supposed to do with it. This is an ambient piece in which incorporates some loops that I fed through my Mackie mixer and back into the input of my computer making some awesome feedback!
