Hello Everyone! I've been hard at work on three new projects which are all available for sale through
My WebsiteHere's a Bit about each project!
My new CD is called "When J. Edgar Hoover Wore A Dress". It contains 12 original songs, done in Bob's signature offbeat style, blending elements of old time string-band music into a modern sound. The title song, "When J. Edgar Hoover Wore A Dress" is a humorous novelty song. It takes a look at former FBI director J Edgar Hoover's hypocritical fondness for social deviance. This song was inspired by the book "The Secret Life of J. Edgar Hoover" by Anthony Summers. There are eleven other catchy, up-tempo songs on the CD that will keep your toes tapping. So grab a dress, hop in the limo, and join us for the ride!
Also available is the CD "RISE UP", which is a compilation of animal rights songs from some of the world's best-known animal rights singers and songwriters. These moving, emotional, and humorous songs will be an inspiration for everyone who loves animals. They are performed in a variety of acoustic-based styles, from rock to folk. Included are some great animal rights anthems such as "Rise Up", "Let The Animals Live", and "Gentle Creatures". This CD is sold at a low price in order to promote these great musicians, and spread the great animal rights message. All proceeds are donated to good causes.
Also I have a "Rolph Scarlett: Artist & Painter" DVD for sale which I produced and I also appear in. Here's a little about the film:
Rolph Scarlett, 1889-1984, was one of America's greatest abstract artists. He was well-known in the 1940's, and has recently been rediscovered. Over 100 of his works were purchased by the Guggenheim in NY, and he was the only American artist to be shown in 1938, when they first opened. His works hung next to Wassily Kandinsky and he worked at the museum alongside the famous Jackson Pollock. This DVD is a personal project for Bob Pyle, who has collected many of Rolph Scarlett's works over the years. Also included is a second film made in 1979, called "Who is Rolph Scarlett". It shows rare interviews with Rolph himself, done by his student and friend Harriet Tannen. This rare and out-of-print film is made available again on this DVD.
My 1st CD, Apples & Oranges, is also still for sale on
My Website which features a new cover design!
