Hello ! Sorry it's been several decades since I updated this page. Anyway some exciting new Shirokuma flavour projects for this month..

Firstly there is a new Shirokuma song on the Rebellious Jukebox "Velvet Underground & Nico" covers project 2009. A version of "Run Run Run" along with Velvets covers by 10 other artists including The Kara Sea, The Winter Journey, Cigarettes For Ping Pong, Babyslave and Ultrafoetus. Sorry I've been out of the Myspace for a few months....busy with lots of stuff, anyway, here is a new Shirokuma remix of top Australian popsters "Cigarettes For Ping Pong", and also an open invitation to join us at Saki bar in Rusholme in Manchester this Thursday the 17th July for a free night of superb low-key DJ action and beers. Hola !

Been a while since I posted anything here so just to update I’ve been working on some instrumental scores for various things including some advert jingle demos (!) and recording a brand new concept EP which will be available at Rebellious Jukebox in the next week or two. There is also an interview Q & A with me there too...

And please download the excellent free sampler album from the site if you get chance, it features the exclusive "Taverna Tablecloths" by your ol’ mate Shirokuma, and some excellent and inventive new material from The Kara Sea, Babyslave, Caro Snatch, I Lucifer and more !

Aside from that I’ve been obsessed with Marjane Satrapi’s beautiful comic book memoir of growing up in 80s Iran, "Persepolis", and I’ve also been enjoying some new Spanish horror film action in the cracking "(Rec)" which I saw presented by one of the directors recently at the Manchester Spanish film fest. More news and links to new tracks shortly !

If you are in Manchester tomorrow night do come along to the TV21 bar (the basement bar) in the Northern Quarter for the grand opening of Rebellious Jukebox ! Shirokuma onstage at 8pm sharp for a short set so come down and see me ! Also fabulous live sounds from Japan's awesome first ladies of psych-punk pop The Suzan, Caro Snatch and I Lucifer ! Plus DJ sets from Rebellious Jukebox and Nikujaga residents playing a mix of all things interesting. The very best thing to do with this Sunday evening !!!!

Also a free 10 track sampler CD featuring exclusive Shirokuma and Rebellious Jukebox material to be given out...
