Get those library cards handy because, as of about 10 minutes ago, you and all your zine-loving pals can check out zines from the Barnard Zine Library and take them to your very own place of residence!

Starting the week of November 5th, students and researchers alike can check zines out for four weeks at a time from Barnard Library. Remember, the collection is available to anyone with a Barnard or Columbia ID or to people from schools to whom we grant site privileges (e.g. NYU, SHARES institutions). If you are not a member of one of these communities, just e-mail Jenna at zines@barnard.edu or give us a ring at 212.854.4615 to get your hands on these beautiful zines!

It's time of year again: bright foilage, apple squeezin's, perhaps a hay ride or four...uh, what else... hmmm pumpkins? Bats? Baseball? Baseball bats?

And most importantly, zines.

That's why on Wednesday, Oct. 10 from 8-10, the Barnard Zine collection is  curating a zine reading and workshop for Think Coffee's Cup and Pen Small Press Reading Series  (http://thinkcoffeenyc.com/cup-and-pen/). Join us, won't you, for an evening of listening and clapping, cutting and pasting with your fellow zine makers and enthusiasts. MCeed by Rebecca Alvarez and workshop lead by Eleanor Whitney of the zines Indulgence and RiffRag, our featured readers (as of yet) include:

Sabrina from Cliterature!
Tya from i am the city!
Betsy from You Know Better!
and literary jems mined from the heads of Barnard's own student body!

Hey all!

Well, it's finally spring (mostly) and that means it's time to do a bit of spring cleaning and spruce this place up a smidge. We have a new layout and we're working on streamlining the page, too.
Most importantly, we wanted to cut down on the clutter but still keep the memory of your awesome comments and images alive. The list below has links to some of the images we enjoyed (but that frankly just took up too much space).
