This recording is an apology to anyone who ever bought a copy .
In 2002 leper recorded a demo titled "Echoes "
3 years later, after about 3 or 400 copies or so, were sold at $10.00 a pop, I was listening to it & suddenly realized just how bad it was.
When we did this recording we would basically go through a track, the engineer would say "so, do you want to listen to it to see if you like it " & we would say
" no,,, pretty sure we nailed it, lets move on.." We did this because we were so focused on the end result that we couldn't focus on enjoying the ride there. There was also this subconscious fear that since the engineer, Roy Montroy, of REZ BAND was doin' all this studio work for free, that if we didn't hurry, the window of opportunity would close, & we would never get it finished as well as a this subconscious fear that needlessly obssesing over it would just look bad …. The end result was 11 trax of sheer mediocrity. My only other complaint was that it had this certain "HEAVY METAL" quality that leper was NEVER meant to have. So the moral of this story is …..
In all you do, do it to the glory of God, do it with excellence, & do not lie to your self that you have done a good job on something unless you have done a good job. We as Christians must stop settling for what ever comes easiest. whyle at the same time without needlessly obssesing over it ,pray for balance
So, please enjoy this new, EAKOSSE RE-WRITEN , the way I originally imagined it to sound. Even though I still think the recording quality could be better I just don't have the $$$ to do it.
