Hi people..... so this time next week we'll be sweating our way through our rehearsals for our east coast run...new york 9 july, baltimore 10 july and Philly 11

there's gonna be shpongle and prometheus dj sets and we'll be testing out new stuff from our upcoming album. The full band will be there... mr posford,Vaughan,Campbell,browstein,Russo and Hamilton


this will be our last tour until the new album is out at the start of next year

Hello...... well as winter finally recedes we emerge from the studio blinking into the light.... we've got about 7 tracks done for the album and now we wanna play! so we're doing a short tour in july on the east coast of the US. We'll be trying out some of the new album- road testing em before we commit them to a release in the autumn. here's the dates

hello folks.... happy new year and all that jazz.....we've been lying low since the new year taking a break but we'll be back in the studio in a couple of weeks getting on with our new album. Tours are being planned for europe and the U.S and we're even trying to build some software for you music makers out there to play with.

Evening all.......well on the 6th of ocober younger brother went into assault and battery studios(http://www.miloco.co.uk/studios/assault&battery2.php) to start 10 days of recording to get together material for our 3rd album(i guess its more a case of our new collection of megabytes now)

we had Ru on vocals, Marc brownstein on bass,Joe Russo on drums and Tommy Hamilton on drums.

The guys from the states flew into rainy Willesden,north london and we went straight into at the studio nearby.......we arrived with a few chord progressions and arrangements but with an overwhelming sense feeling unprepared! This was all new to younger brother....the last two albums had been made by me and simon locked in our little studios making tracks by coming up with stuff in the computer then slowly getting a direction and and add chucking stuff in the pot-synths,guitars,bath tubs etc

We started off with a track called shine- pulled up the computer arrangement we had then played around it with the band.....once we sort of had it we started laying the tracks down....
the studio had some great gear and an top sounding room so the results sound beautiful

over the days we had a blast, baffled ourselves with music and left feeling super excited.....we did about 8 tracks and now me and simon are going retreat to si's studio with 400 gig of music to play with........

CANT WAIT!

Hello all.......just a quickie to update ya'll on what we're up to here at Younger brother HQ......we've just confirmed that for the first 2 weeks of november the full band( simon posford,Benji vaughan, Ru campbell(vocals), Marc Brownstein(Bass), Tommy Hamilton(guitar), Joe Russo(drums)) will be recording in london at a studio full of lovely toys like a neve mixing desk,modular synths and a huge live room.We're gonna spend 2 weeks laying down 7/8 tracks with the band then simon and benji will dissappear with a hard drive full of music to edit,contort,distort and dismember it- its really exciting for us to have the chance to start the album with a full band and use the inspiration and excitement that a group of guys in a room with lots of machines and instruments .  Battery is a beautiful studio with fabulous gear that should capture the magic of musicians like joe russo,tommy hamilton and marc brownstrin beautifully.
we aim to have the album complete and ready for release by early spring and then begin an extensive tour with the band to show of our new baby!

Also just to blow our own trumpets- we recently found out that last days of gravity was voted in the top 20 albums of the year for 2008 by the mercury music prize- this is a prestigous award given out each year in the UK for the best album of the year.....

we cant wait to get started on the new album and to get on the road early next year to play it to y'all

hello folks......just wanna say a big thanks to everyone who came to camp bisco vII, in upstate new york last weekend. The crowd was GREAT - a true honour to play to. Obviously big thanks to everyone at meat camp -especially John Fordin- for putting the whole thing on.
The biggest thanks must go to Tommy Hamilton, Joe Russo and most of all the might Marc Brownstein.
We had a super good time and cant wait to get the band back on the road again soon....i'll post pics when i have'em

Hello everyone....its been ages since i last posted anything here. We've been busy having a great time touring the west coast of the USA. First up huge thanks to Marc Brownstein,Joe Russo and Tommy Hamilton for coming on the road with us and being the most amazing musicians to play with. We had a blast playing with you guys!!
All the shows seemed to go well and the crowds we're GREAT! sorry to those who couldn't get tickets .......i promise we'll be back soon. If anyone has any pics of any of the shows or any pics of the tour in general please send us a link as i'd love to see'em.
