Subject: Best of '09 episode and BEST OF THE DECADE episodes!

Hey folks. First of all, there will be no radio show next Wednesday.

We will be returning December 30th and January 6th with two very special episodes.

December 30th will be our BEST OF 2009 feature. Self-explanatory, this will feature the best songs of 2009 in the punk/hardcore/indie genres with a few songs about New Year's sprinkled in.

January 6th will be our first show of 2010 and be an extra special BEST OF THE DECADE feature. Songs from the best releases spanning from 2000-2009.

Now, here's where I need you (the listener)'s help. Both of these are pretty big jobs. I have my own personal picks for both but definitely want to have a less biased approach.

So, send in your choices/picks for your favorite and/or best songs of both 2009 AND the decade!

This weekend at THE FEST 8 in Gainesville, FL, Generic Insight Radio will be repping in full force!

Not only are we a sponsor of this amazing event, we will be having a table at registration/Fest flea market on Friday afternoon only, October 30th, at the Holiday Inn on University Ave, from noon-6pm.



At our little table you will find the following Generic Insight related stuff:

In addition to the GIR goodies, we will also have (hopefully we can squeeze this in as we have a small half table):

- a few records from the catalog of Hex Records from Syracuse, NY. Bands include Prize Country, Oak & Bone, Night Owls, The Helm and the brand-new 7" by Lemuria!

(Ryan Hex was unable to make it down to Fest this year, so we worked out a deal that I'd be sell a few of his records at my table. Ryan is a great dude and has hooked me up a number of times not only with records but also with a place to crash when visiting Syracuse, so a return the favor was absolutely vital on my part. Check out his label, he rules.)


All of these items will be sold for reasonably low prices, except for Generic Insight stickers which will be FREE!

My internet connection at home has been going in and out for some stupid reasons with the service. It's extremely unreliable right now, especially today when its very windy, so as to not take a chance that it will go down during the show tonight, there won't be one.
