What happens when creativity is locked up in a predetermined part of the day?
Can time influence our creativity?
Can a track depend on the part of the day it's composed?
All the 10 tracks of Morning Patterns have been thought and created from 7.00 to 9.30 in the morning, and aim to reply to these questions.
In each track Phooka develops a different idea, which was determined by the first thoughts of his morning awakes: moving through techno, abstract, trip hop, 90s breakbeat, reminding remote Authechre's memories, melodic motives, alternating fast obsessive beats to sudden relaxing breaks.
Good early mornings bring good days!
Phooka's morning thoughts are reinterpretated, in the last part, by Ether (whose tracks already appeared on Homework Records) and by Phooka's genoan friend Mass Prod (Flexible Audio).
