Hey, Everyone!
Hope all is well and life is treating you with kindness.
The Haunt certainly is coming to life.
July 1st, our 2nd meeting, is almost upon us and I hope that you are as excited and ready to go as I am.
Thirteen people showed up last meeting! What a lucky number. I consider it a good omen since we open on the 13th of October. :-)
We are well on our way to having
an awesome crew.
If you are one who has taken the step to reach out either from a message board, Myspace or a volunteering organization, but has not committed by coming to a meeting, now is the time. This coming meeting, we will be staining skellies (skeletons), decorating our "Econo Hearse" and picking out costumes. ALL for our participation in the upcoming Carmichael Gala Parade on July 4th. I've been told by the Parade officials that Carmichael's Gala Parade is the oldest and biggest in the County. The media along with 20,000 people will be there! There are over 160 entries in the parade and we are located in #72nd position. Just about in the middle. That makes for an awesome spot!
If you'd like to participate in the parade, let me know at the meeting. More info concerning parade times will be announced on Saturday.
So, again..
If you've been hanging on the fence reading the emails and haven't stepped forward to actually join, now is the time. If you are a new member and this will be your first meeting, WELCOME! An application with an attached liability form will be waiting for you to fill out. If you are under the age of 18, your parent will have to sign both forms, as well before you can officially join. Either bring them to the meeting with you or take the application home and bring it back to our next gathering.

(Please note that the time has changed a few hours earlier. This is due to the fact that it is just too hot to begin at 1pm. Also, when construction begins, the hour will go up to 10am anyway. I hope this isn't a inconvenience for anyone.)
