big tings on the horizon. the "new" album has been titled and is awaiting a cover and a master, and then it will be released onto the masses in a new and unexpected manner. oh what does that mean? you'll see... Just know that the album is coming out sooner than you can say "lance bass". stay tuned for details. we are now busy working on even newer material, and are setting up some shows for the coming months. ok, chickadees, check back soon.

we've been busy, like you probably. what with the post-docs, and los babys and the herculean libros, but we shan't be leaving anyone in the dust. Two shows to tell you : one this sunday with Pit Er Pat, great group from Chicago, rare penmanship magical trio.
2nd show in January - the big benefit - you have to come to that! Lot's of folks jump on board to help us promote this : the Bay Bridged Podcast crew, KALX, KUSF and more on the way... our new record is waiting to meet you... when the time is right, she is not shy... it's quite the opposite. ciao

Today we complete the new album, figuratively baggin' it up for the annals of history. Who knows what it means to make a record anymore. The record industry is going through an existential quagmire leaving so many people to ask this same question. Is a record something you have printed on the face of a compact disc? Is it something you stamp onto vinyl? Can you call something a record even if it doesn't exist in any physical form? What a time to make a record...
I'll think about this more today and perhaps I can come to some conclusion after the damned thing is "finished," whatever the hell that means...

apologeese are due 1st for the uncontained excitement of the following post
As Yet To Be....
the album , still untitled, still uncoverarted, not yet underrated and almost contrbanded, but closer and closer to the fnish line. Expect a grand release in 2007, to be followed by a Springsteen/Dixie Chicks type unholy media campaign.
another very exciting project that is yet to be , is a benefit show set for early January 2007 to be benifiting an organization helping blind folks realize their superhuman ability of "echolocation". Yes we're serious. we're organizing this and will probably perform our 1 st LP "Time to Echolocate" in it's entirety, (hey, we can act pompous and bloated like Roger Waters, if we want to and we do want to)
Of In the How...
of in the how you can be of aid:
we need suggests on the album names still, (although the chances are slim for outside naming rights)
suggests on art or artists for the cover art of said album
come forth to our next SF show at Bottoms Of Some Hill when we open for Pere Ubu!
spread general good cheer like jelly on a hot lizzard and check back often for updates on the benefit show and other developments.
oh , and death to America.
that's America the spider that lives in my hallway.

1000 friends indeed are 1000 friends in need! is that how that goes. anyway the hunt is on for our Numero 1000 friend. whoever gets that honour wins an autographed EP and a bag of roasted sunflower seed from a gas station ="official tour snack of the Ebb and Flow" offficial rules preclude me from explaining in detail how you can win, most likely though you should try to add us as a friend and hope for the best. check out the new podcast from the BayBridged Boyz August Local Mix

the E&F has had a very good tour. we definitely enjoyed ourselves, yourselves and the elves. If the first tour was like Ebbers in Wonderland this tour was Through the Flooking Glass. Some shoutouts go to Mike (batteries), Daniel (Dallas), Greg (Tulsa), Michael (Madison), Faiz (International) and Cassettis, Whelpleys, Kheshtis, Casanovas and Carmi Smiths, fourlegged bowlegged and no legged all, for letting us crash. (Forget anyone?) an extra special wink goes out to Sean P. for making our last show in Portland sweet and lowdown. Award season is over, now it's time to finish our grand scheme album and prepare for the battles of suitable release. await for this, it's not a bus but like the rust on carcass of your once beloved mutt, will shiver you should you it ever find
