La délicieuse, la juteuse Big Apple nous a reçu pour notre toute première date américaine. Cette vidéo montre la splendide journée ensoleillée qu'on a passée là-bas à jouer aux ‘New Yorkais' sur le Summer Stage de Central Park

Hurra Torpedo est le groupe de cuisine musicale (voire de musique cuisinale) le plus connu du monde. Leur recette ? Les nouvelles de groupe:



Plus que jamais la tête aux Etats-Unis ! (nous sommes peut être déjà là bas au moment où vous nous lisez) On a eu quelques frayeurs avec David, mais il est complètement rétabli et la tournée est confirmée de chez confirmé. Entrez dans la danse, Oncle Sam, entrez …



Niveau studio, nous avons enregistré six chansons. Tout est ok jusqu'à présent (on travaille aussi le suspense, hein ?), que ça soit au niveau musique ou date de sortie (08/10/08).

Gogol Bordello. Voilà un groupe que nous respectons et que nous admirons. Ils sont juste « unbelivable » ! Décrits comme un « savant mélange de punk, gipsy et cabaret, Gogol Bordello raconte l'histoire de la population des immigrants à New York avec un réel sens de la débauche, de l'humour et avec des costumes surréalistes ».

Hey Guys !!!



Band News :

This week looking forward, more than ever, to our US tour (we could even be there as you read this!), even after slight worries over whether David was going to be able to make it or not. Now it's been confirmed that we are still on course for going to the States. Dance, Uncle Sam, dance...

In other news, we've already recorded six tracks in the studio! So far it's all going pretty smoothly and we're on track to finish the album on time. An album we can't wait for you guys to hear! (08/10/08)

Séquence émotions: retour à notre première tournée européenne grâce à ce documentaire tournée en 2003. Clairement une bien belle tournée… mais que de souvenirs depuis ! Syrie, Russie, Australie et bientôt les Etats-Unis!

 



Les nouvelles de groupe:



Studio, studio, studio... Ca y est ! Nous sommes rentrés en studio lundi !! C’est toujours aussi génial et en même temps stressant de commencer l’enregistrement… D’autant plus que nous avons eu quelques soucis puisque David (chant) a fait une crise d’épilepsie en direct du studio, le deuxième jour d’enregistrement ! Il récupère en ce moment et nous prenons bien soin de lui, pas de souci !



Sortie d’album… nous avons fixé une date pour notre sortie d’album…(padapadaba, padapadaba, padapadabaaaaaaaaaaa!) : le 8 Octobre 2008!!!

We’re feeling sentimental thanks to a video of a documentary made in 2003, so back to our first ever European tour! Definitely an amazing time for us, we can’t believe all the things we’ve had the chance to do since then! Syria, Russia, Australia and soon the States as well!

Studio, studio, studio... We’re here! We arrived in the studio Monday! It’s amazing to be back recording, but stressful too!! Unfortunately, it hasn’t all been good news, our singer David who suffers from epilepsy had a fit on our first day of recording. Thankfully, after two days in hospital he is starting to get better, so don’t worry!



Album release...In other news, we have a fixed date for our album release…(padapadaba, padapadaba, padapadabaaaaaaaaaaa!) October 2008!!!

Salut everybody ! 

«Welcome! » is definitely the word we heard most during our trip to the other side of the world. There's so much to say about Australia I don't know where to begin.

Is it being this far from old Europe, or the fact that on average people share one kilometre squared between three? No idea, but here smiling is the norm, curiosity an instinct, warm welcome an institution, and love of nature a way of life.  

After a twenty-hour flight spent getting to know our fellow Frenchman Tété (who we met again later), we arrive in Brisbane, for the Woodford Festival. It was an immense valley in "Gorillas in the Mist" style. During the festival we were surrounded by luxurious trees, and we had a very hot and humid climate.

It's "a first" for us in many ways, playing five consecutive days in the same place, sharing the stage with 400 bands, actors, circus performers and other entertainers. From the first concert we knew the journey had been worthwhile, the connection is immediate, the longer we stay at Woodford festival the better , while we're here we're meeting people from all four corners of the world. Monsieur "Bob Brozman" ( New York ), the Moshav Band ( L.A. ), Monsier Tété ( Paris ), and Tjupurru ( Ozy in deed ), the Australian master of the Didgeribone (that's a didgeridoo with a slide). We wait for the worst of the rainstorm to pass the 1st January at midnight (it's all or nothing), where everyone was reunited for the concert for the New Year. The public spontaneously invade the big stage during, "J'aurais bien voulu,"  bringing with them masses of mud… atmosphere guaranteed. Five days in heaven, Woodford, WE LOVE YOU! 

And it's already with souls full of nostalgia that we get back onto the kangarooicide road to follow our trek down the golden coast towards Byron Bay, paradise to both the surfers and the big sharks waiting for their meal, for a beach performance.

Sydney: a few days off to admire the incredible presence of an urban environment. You have to admit, it's a lot rarer in Paris to see possums going into a bar (behind the pink elephant at times perhaps), and even more improbable is being flown over by big (but cute) bat during a coffee break, as well as birds trying to eat your croissant.  

After a warm show at Beck's Bar, where we ended this great tour after a drive to Bulli, it was the fantastic Melbourne; we had the chance to come across some fellow Frenchmen who were travelling in a truck visiting this fantastic island. We wish it could have last three months, it was too short for us, but we'll be back as soon as possible !

Salut everybody, 

"Welcome!"

C'est surement le mot qu'on a le plus entendu lors de notre séjour de l'autre coté de la terre. L'australie, c'est tout un poème.

Est-ce de vivre si loin de la vieille Europe, ou le fait de n'être en moyenne que trois au kilomètre carré? Sais pas, mais ici le sourire est une nature, la curiosité un instinct, l'accueil chaleureux une institution, et l'amour de la nature un art de vivre. 

Après une vingtaine d'heures de vol, lesquelles nous permettant de faire enfin connaissance avec notre compatriote Tété que nous retrouverons plus tard, nous arrivons à Brisbane, pour le Woodford festival. Un immense vallon façon "gorilles dans la brume", aux arbres luxuriants, et un climat merveilleusement chaud et humide seront le cadre des festivités.

C'est une première en plusieurs points, puisque nous jouons cinq jours consécutifs au même endroit, partageant l'affiche avec quelques 400 groupes de musiciens, comédiens, circassiens et autres performers. Dès le premier concert on comprend que le voyage en valait la chandelle, le contact est immédiat, et va s'accentuer au gré de rencontres avec des collègues venus des quatres coins du monde, MONSIEUR "Bob Brozman" from New-York, les Moshav band from L.A., Monsieur Tété from Paris, et Tjupurru, le maître australien du didgeribone (entendez didgeridoo à coulisse). On atteindra le paroxysme sous des trombes d'eau le 01 janvier à 00h00 (2008, the best or nothing), où tous réunis pour le concert du nouvel an, le public envahit spontanément la grande scène sur "j'aurais bien voulu", charriant avec lui des décicubes de boue sur les planches...ambiance garantie, on essaie de retrouver les images. Cinq jours sur un nuage, Woodford, WE LOVE YOU ! 

Et c'est l'âme déja toute nostalgique que nous montons dans le camion kangouroucide pour poursuivre notre périple et descendre la gold coast vers Byron Bay, paradis des surfeurs et des gros poissons blancs qui les bouffent (mais enfin bon, chacun vois midi à sa porte), pour un show en bord de plage.

Sydney: quelques jours off nous permettent d'admirer l'incroyable présence de la nature en milieu urbain. Faut admettre qu'à Paris, c'est plutot rare de croiser des oppossums en rentrant du bar (derrière l'éléphant rose parfois), et encore plus improbable d'être survolé par des grosses (mais mignonnes) chauves souris à l'heure du café, tandis que des ibis essaient de vous boulotter votre croissant. 

Gros tour de chauffe au Becks bar, où on reviendra cloturer cette magnifique tournée après une virée à Bulli, puis la grande Melbourne; l'occase aussi de croiser des compatriotes qui se balladent en camion et visitent cette île merveilleuse. Comptez trois mois...pour nous c'était trop court, mais on revient quand vous voulez!

Salut everybody ! 

«Welcome! » is definitely the word we heard most during our trip to the other side of the world. There's so much to say about Australia I don't know where to begin.

Is it being this far from old Europe, or the fact that on average people share one kilometre squared between three? No idea, but here smiling is the norm, curiosity an instinct, warm welcome an institution, and love of nature a way of life.  

After a twenty-hour flight spent getting to know our fellow Frenchman Tété (who we met again later), we arrive in Brisbane, for the Woodford Festival. It was an immense valley in "Gorillas in the Mist" style. During the festival we were surrounded by luxurious trees, and we had a very hot and humid climate.

It's "a first" for us in many ways, playing five consecutive days in the same place, sharing the stage with 400 bands, actors, circus performers and other entertainers. From the first concert we knew the journey had been worthwhile, the connection is immediate, the longer we stay at Woodford festival the better , while we're here we're meeting people from all four corners of the world. Monsieur "Bob Brozman" ( New York ), the Moshav Band ( L.A. ), Monsier Tété ( Paris ), and Tjupurru ( Ozy in deed ), the Australian master of the Didgeribone (that's a didgeridoo with a slide). We wait for the worst of the rainstorm to pass the 1st January at midnight (it's all or nothing), where everyone was reunited for the concert for the New Year. The public spontaneously invade the big stage during, "J'aurais bien voulu,"  bringing with them masses of mud… atmosphere guaranteed. Five days in heaven, Woodford, WE LOVE YOU! 

And it's already with souls full of nostalgia that we get back onto the kangarooicide road to follow our trek down the golden coast towards Byron Bay, paradise to both the surfers and the big sharks waiting for their meal, for a beach performance.

Sydney: a few days off to admire the incredible presence of an urban environment. You have to admit, it's a lot rarer in Paris to see possums going into a bar (behind the pink elephant at times perhaps), and even more improbable is being flown over by big (but cute) bat during a coffee break, as well as birds trying to eat your croissant.  

After a warm show at Beck's Bar, where we ended this great tour after a drive to Bulli, it was the fantastic Melbourne; we had the chance to come across some fellow Frenchmen who were travelling in a truck visiting this fantastic island. We wish it could have last three months, it was too short for us, but we'll be back as soon as possible !
