We're very proud to announce that On monday april 13th we're releasing the first single from the coming Nephew album DanmarkDenmark. The title of the single is "007 Is Also Gonna Die".

It's an angry cry for some absolutes in life. One thing we can be sure
of is that we're all gonna die. That this also goes for James Bond
reflects a very Danish point of view.



The single is produced and mixed by Carsten Heller. We did a little footage while he was finishing the mix for the benefit of the Nephew mailing list. Subscribe and you'll receive the clip right away (yes, we really want your email).

DANMARK / DENMARK


From today it's official that the fourth Nephew studio album will carry the title Danmark / Denmark and released on June 5th, Constitution Day in  Denmark.

"To be a Dane is not really a quality on its own, but more like the lens through which we view our lives. With that in mind, the theme of the album is really 'everything viewed from a Danish scope'. The songs are about being humans with eyes and ears, hearts and brains, physically situated in Denmark, which is in Europe, which is in the World.", says Nephew lead singer Simon Kvamm.

The album includes tracks such as Descendants Of King Canute, Jesus Jesus, 007 Is Also Gonna Die and Hurra!.

The final mixing of Danmark/Denmark is currently being done by the acclaimed producer, Carsten Heller.

Danmark/Denmark is a sequel to Interkom Kom Ind, released autumn 2006, an album that – like Nephew's Danish breakthrough album from 2004, USADSB – has sold more than 100,000 copies.

Nephew has launched a newsletter that will keep you updated on the band, shows, competitions etc. – and of course the the forthcoming Nephew-album due out later 2009.

Since October the Nephew remix of German band Polarkreis 18 has been available as a digital single.


The remix, entitled 'Allein Alene' has now reach a download sale of 15,000 which equals platinum status in Denmark.


On youtube.com 'Allein Alene' (with bootleg videoes) has been heard more than 700,000 times.

Later this year German band Polarkreis 18 are due with their second full-lenght album. Nephew has done a remix of "Allein Allein" — the first single from the album. The remix will be featured as a B-side of the single release.
