Odd Entities brings forth 6 new and 3 previously released (but now updated) tracks. MagiTek maintains its roots, but develops and fuses new styles into the mix. This transition came from more of a hip hop influence, as well as performing live and becoming a 4 person group. This EP contains a variety of sounds, from what one could call "breakbeat industrial", to "crunky", to something just....strange. Overall, we feel it's a nice step forward, with much more to come.

Hope you enjoy the dimensional rhythm.

Wow, it's been too damn long since we've made any updates on this or our main site. If you haven't caught some of the bulletins or other random net postings, here's a very brief description of the goings on.

Over these last few months we've busted out some live sets, most notably at Nerdapalooza. Been getting more of a feel for that and allotting xp to the right skill grids. Creative energies have been copulating with new and improved tools, resulting in a new plateau for the ever evolving MagiTek sound. More than enough material is brewing for a whole new album, as well as a more unique live show. Yes, our next form...

...BUT RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER WE GOT THIS OTHER HOTNESS!

This fresh little EP called "Odd Entities" is nearly done. Collecting previously unfinished or individually released tracks from 2006-2008, it's representative of this transitional era. From Quartz Relic's involvement with Krondor Krew, to Thugmasta J's upped ante, to the heavier involvement of Shamus, Mathaeis, and Kashky. Odds and ends get tied up in this taste of what's to come.

Due in a few weeks peeps. More regular updates to come.

"Fresh From The Rivers Down Below" is a stream of consciousness manifesto from Thugmasta J. Quartz Relic helped him produce the hit single, which will flood you with eargasms.

It can be heard on our profile page, or....

You can download the track in MUCH better quality than Myspace's player below (click to listen in your browser, right click to save as).

Released very recently on the mega cool nerdcore compilation Rhyme Torrents Vol. 6 comes a story rap track from MagiTek and the Krondor Krew, titled "Skyscraper".

You can of course listen to it now here on our profile but a download is available at the page above. However, it isn't the only track you should get. There is a wealth of amazing people and talent on there. If you're not familiar with it the genre or community, delve further in!

There's also a few other new tracks in development...till then or other news, this is Quartz Relic, signing off.

So much has happened since we finished DRFBP last year. You should read all about it by checking out the News section at MagiTek Online. Grab something to munch on, like brains.

We now have the entire album available for download, from our profile page as well as our site.

MagiTek is doing its 1st live show late April. New tracks are well on the way.

Just peruse MagiTek Online. DO IT.

Current mood:  excited
Today we collaborated with the Krondor Krew. We'd been hoping to do this for a while, and fortunately we were able to focus our efforts into this wack but tight ass track. A-Rock provided the beats, then J and I joined him for spitting rhymes about wooing the most important women in your life. Not OURS, yours. Check our homies in the Krew out here on Myspace; they truly kick it and deserve a look.

The new track called "Gotcha Ladies" can be heard/obtained here on our Myspace, as well as the official MagiTek site. Oh, another track with all four sheckies is also in the works.

And yes...juuust a week or two more, at the very most. THE NEW ALBUM.
Monday, May 15, 2006
It's been about a year since J and I started mixing and recording this album, 2 since we started composing it hardcore, and the earliest traces of a few songs on it date all the way back to 2001-02.

Due to our conflicting schedules as well as downtime when we were too burnt out to actually get shit done, it's been a long haul. On and off sessions. In the end, this beast is crazy. At times we wanted it to be more this, more that, but the time has come to let it be what it is, and move on. A new era begins soon, but we must let this one end with a bang...the "Seranova".
