J.C. Stoller just posted this video from Scissormen's sold-out show at the Lizard Lounge in Cambridge, MA, on Nov. 14. It's our unrecorded song "Delta Train," headed for our next album. He's also posted videos of "Tupelo," "Voodoo Chile," and a compilation of "John the Reveltor," "Unwanted Man," and "My Christmas Wish."

We have a winner of the "Should Ted Shave or Keep the Mustache" contest. Yes, enough people actually answered that question to declare a winner. He is Byron Mantling of Atlanta, who asked for and shall receive Scissormen's three-CD catalog. And the winning answer: "Of course Ted should keep the mustache! Should Moses have climbed the mount? Should Godzilla flatten Tokyo? Should Muddy Waters be on Mt. Rushmore? Should Dominoe's make a weasel cheese pizza? Should, should, should… AH. Keep the damn mustache. Otherwise the terriers have won!" Who can argue with that logic? Thanks Byron. The mustache gets, at the least, an extended reprieve. Look for its appearance soon in a town near you!

New photo albums from two very recent shows. Bryan Peek of Ashville - shout out to 'em - was at our Black Mountain, NC, show at the town pump and took a pile of pix posted here. And then, just two nights ago, Mark Caceres shot some very cool shots at Blind Willie's in Atlanta. Please take a few moments to visit our photo albums and check 'em out.

Tonight musicians and fans all over the world, in the realm of blues and beyond, are mourning the loss of the great Koko Taylor, one of the last survivors of the original electric era of Chicago blues. She was not only a great musician with one of the most powerful voices to grace a microphone, but a beautiful human being with a big generous heart. I was very happy to see Koko this May at the Blues Music Awards in Memphis, where she looked terrific in an elegantly tailored orange suit and sang with power, energy and spirit. If this was her final performance, it was a magnificent one, and she will long be remembered and treasured. Love to you Koko.

If you wanna hear another side of my playing visit ambient musician/composer David Gerard's site http://www.myspace.com/ambientunes and check out the track "Suspended Under Canopy." I was David's guest in the studio several years back, and this is one of the results, just mixed and completed by David. You'll find more of David's cool atmospheric music there, too, of course!

Blurt magazine heard about our slidin' ways and decided to issue us a challenge to play with a rib bone, a jaw breaker, a light bulb, a razor scooter, a vibrator attached to a power drill (honest, their idea, not ours!), a candle and a lot more. We added a dry Martini and our friend Lady Fury from the Nashville Roller Girls roller derby
