Category: Life
Hey everyone! Sorry it's been so long since we've blogged about... well... about anything! Just a quick update before I get to this announcement. God's done some REALLY cool things! We've had our TV debut on DayStar about a month ago and on top of doing a couple of camps this summer (that were AMAZING), we also did a run on the road with our good buddies, Rush of Fools! We're working on getting back on the road with them sometime next year, so look out for that! So God has been awesome and we just keep on moving forward and going deeper with Him!
So, for the sad news. We are SUPER sad to say that Kyle has left The Access. He took some time off recently to really seek God and after doing so, he feels like God is calling him into other things. We still love Kyle and he still loves us! We actually got to see him a couple of weeks ago and played a good old game of baseball!
We are extremely grateful and appreciative for the last two years Kyle has spent with us in the band and on the road. He'll definitely be missed on stage, but we'll still be seeing him around and hanging out with him! I'm sure you will all miss him as well! So post some comments letting him know how much he will be missed!
As for what we will be doing long-term, we don't know, but God does! Change isn't always easy, but sometimes it's for the best. Instead of wasting precious time asking God, "Why did this or that happen?" and "How are you gonna pull this one off, God?", we simply focus on WHAT God said He WILL do, instead of the How's, Who's, What's, Where's, and Why's. Those things don't matter as long as you hold on to the promises of God and you do your part so that He can fulfill those promises.
I'm reminded of 1st Kings 18. Maybe you are dealing with the How, Who, What, Where, and Why. Maybe this will encourage you as much as it's encouraged us in this season:
In 1 Kings 18, God speaks to Elijah and tells him to present himself to Ahab and tell him that the drout was ending and rain was on it's way. After Elijah shares this message with Ahab, he and his servant go on top of the mountain and Elijah begins to pray. As he prays, he tells his servant to go to the edge of the mountain, look into the horizon, and to come back and tell him what he sees. Six times the servant went back and forth and saw nothing as Elijah CONTINUED TO PRAY. The seventh time the servant went to the edge of the mountain and saw a rain cloud in the distance. Exactly WHAT God said He would send. So the rain came, just as God said it would, and the drout ended.
So instead of asking God How, Who, What, Where, and/or Why, Elijah... just... sought... God. He prayed until God did what He said He would do. That's what we are doing now. We are going to pray until something happens. We encourage you to do the same if you're going through a season of questioning God.
Regardless of who is or isn't involved, God still has a plan, a purpose, a destiny for The Access. While we are sad to see Kyle go and although he was an amazing, crucial part of our ministry over the last two years, we are hopeful and excited to see what God is going to do next in our lives and in Kyles life. We hope you are equally excited!!!
So you guys be sure to stay tuned in to what's going on with us and we'll do our very best to keep you updated! We love you guys! God Bless much love

Current mood: thankful
First off, we hope all of you are doing absolutely wonderful and that you all find yourselves seeking hard after God and all that He is. Truly laying your lives down and giving up the things of this world to seek Him with everything that is within you. When we do that, we truly allow God an ACCESS to our lives He's can't have otherwise because God overstep the line of our free will. He will do whatever we give Him room to do. That is what we are learning to do now days. To truly do WHATEVER IT TAKES so that God is glorified above all else!
Anyways, we're playing at Fuel in Humble, Tx this Friday night and we need ALL of you to come out and show some support. We really want to have a great showing and worship with all of you this Friday! So we hope to see you there!
ALSO, WinterJam is LESS THAN TWO WEEKS AWAY!!!! It's FINALLY starting to sink in that we'll be sharing the stage with TobyMac (whom we've all looked up to and been inspired by since the early days of DcTalk to now) and many other wonderful, talented bands and artists! So be keeping us in your prayers!
AND, there's a new MySpace on our Top Friends. It's The Accessories MySpace page! It's a page that a close friend, Seth, is heading up. Not only is it a Space where our fans (The Accessories) can get together and talk about how our ministry has touched you and be updated with things going on with us, but it's ALSO our Official Street Team MySpace page.
SO, if you're interested in helping request our songs on radio, as fans I would hope you all do this daily already ;-), and helping promote our shows so we can have more people come and have their lives changed through Christ, them PLEASE ADD THE ACCESSORIES PAGE and message Seth and tell him you're interested!
We love and appreciate all of you more than you know and look forward to hitting the road full-time soon so we can devote every moment of our lives to reaching the generations of the earth! Love you guys! God Bless much love

Current mood:Expectant
Chello everyone! It's been a while so I figured I'd get on here and give you a bit of an update.
We were in Amarillo a couple of weeks ago for a D-Now Conference. God most DEFININTELY showed up and did some amazing things! Flashpoint was also an AMAZING experience. God has just been doing some awesome, awesome things and showing up in amazing ways! We'll be heading to Dallas in January for some shows and an interview with Drue Mitchell at 89.7 PowerFM! So we're pretty excited about the things God has been doing.
Some of you may know, but Terry is no longer with us. After a lot of prayer, we, as a band and ministry, felt it was the best decision that we go our separate ways. We all love Terry with all of our hearts and wish him the best. We still minister with him in our churches music ministries. He is a great guy and has put so much into our ministry and we are forever thankful.
Our good friend Mike Landry has been helping us out on the bass for a few months. He is in The Lana Holtz band. They are our label mates and on our top friends. Go check out their music. I'm sure you'll love it and they should have more new music coming soon. They've started recording their debut album. So be on the lookout for more info on that. Mike is going to play one more show with us in January and then it's on to our new bass player!
With that said, now we'd all like you to welcome CALEB LARREMORE on bass and back-up vocals!!! He has been a long time, close friend and brother to all of us. He recently moved back home and after a lot of prayer we feel like this is the best decision. God has been opening so many doors for our music and ministry. We cannot wait to see what else God will be doing in the coming months and years. If you're interested in having us come out to play a concert or lead worship at your church and/or venue, just send us a message and we can give you the proper contact info!
EVERYONE MAKE CALEB FEEL WELCOME!!!!! God Bless much love

Now, more than ever, our nation is in desperate need of a Savior. Regardless of who is or is not taking office in January, God is still on the throne. And above all else, God should be recognized as the one in charge of this nation. It's time that the church would wake up, get some freedom, and be Gods' mouth piece to a lost and sinful nation. It's time for us to speak out with bravery. We need to prepare the way for Gods' Glory to return to America in ways unthinkable. Regardless of political views, policies, promises, religious stances and history, no man on this earth can every give this nation what it truly needs. God is the one to turn to. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." It's time we stop looking everywhere else for something that is easily "accessible" through spending time, REAL TIME, on our knees in prayer and fellowship with the Spirit of the Living God. With all of this in mind, here's a video of a new song God gave me while in prayer the other day. I couldn't wait for the next album to put this song out there. I release this song as a prophetic word over America. Specifically the church of America. Justin -The Access

Chello everyone! Sorry it's been a while. Things have been really busy the last few months. With the release of the album and the release of our first two singles to radio. Speaking of, you should all call your local radio stations and request "Pressing On" and "I Remember When" by The Access! It would be MUCH appreciated!!! Things are going really well for us right now. We're getting international radio play *GOD IS AWESOME!!!* and we're putting as many shows together as possible. Keep us in your prayers with that. Kyle is in his last year of high school. So we're working hard to start doing this full-time this coming summer. We already treat it as a full-time job ON TOP of the jobs we already have. But next summer should be the beginning of REAL full-time! WOOT WOOT!!! WE CAN'T WAIT!!! Nick and I drove to Waco, Tx this past Sunday to meet up with our boys from Rush of Fools to hang out with them for a while on the What Life Would Be Like Tour with Jason Gray and Big Daddy Weave. GREAT TIMES AND GREAT SHOW!!!! If you haven't check out Jason Grays music YOU SHOULD! It's really good. PLUS Big Daddy Weave AND Rush of Fools have new CDs out and you should check those out too. I have not got the new Weave CD yet, but Wes from Rush gave me a copy of their new one. AWESOME! I haven't stopped listening to it yet! SPEAKING OF NEW ALBUMS... Ours is available through our MySpace AND you can also buy it on iTunes. We'd greatly appreciate it if you'd do so! WOOT WOOT! We've been discussing songs we could cover live... for fun... and a few songs have come up... the song that was on the top of my list... well... it looks like Slipknot beat us to it... Heres' the video of it... I'm not a big Slipknot fan, but I stumbled across this video on YouTube. It looks like they're really branching out and trying new things. Ok I'll leave you be now! Enjoy the video! LOVE YOU GUYS!!! Justin -The Access
