Hi!
We just started our tour here in Norway last tuesday. So far it has been good, although we had to cancel last nights gig in Stavanger due to illness and loss of Martins voice. Hopefully he will be feeling better next thursday when we are playing in Sogndal.
Just confirmed a gig at Samfundet in Trondheim next saturday the 5th of sept. For some strange reason this is actually the first time since by:Larm in 2007, that we are playing in Trondheim. So we are hoping that people will come and see our show, this night with Robert Post.
On this tour in norway, we are writing a blog for a radio program called Sexy. We are reviewing the venues and are trying to find the most sexy venue in Norway. So if you can understand norwegian, check it out on www.nrk.no/sexy
Also we just posted 9 gigs in Germany in october. 8 of them are with Eskimo Joe, who we had the pleasure of playing with this summer in Germany. Great guys!
Well...that's it for now. Btw, you can also follow us on twitter.com/taqband or if you are on facebook, www.facebook.com/thealexandriaquartet
See you.

Current mood: fabulous
Hello everyone!
As most you of you have seen, we just announced 16 gigs on our myspace for our tour in Norway in aug/sept. All the dates saying TBA are confirmed from us and from the venues, but we are just waiting for the final paperwork to come through before we post them on myspace and make it official.
And we even got some more gigs coming up i Norway, so keep checking myspace and if you haven't already, check us out on facebook!
Next, I just wanna si thank you to all the people checking us out in Germany and in Amsterdam. Hurricane and Southside festivals were insane!! So many people showed up in the tent where we played, both days. We didn't expect anything at all, and all of a sudden there is a couple of thousand people there....just to see us. Insane! MTC in Cologne and Magnet in Berlin was awesome. We played with the aussies from Eskimo Joe, great band and good people! After a long nights drive we ended up in Amsterdam, and playing Paradiso, which was so good. What a venue! Even got to hang out with a lot of famous dutch people. Good fun!
Oh yeah, almost forgot... We were supposed to post a new acoustic version of all the songs from the album, while on tour in Germany and Holland. However that turned out to be a bigger challenge than expected with few places with wi-fi connection and basically to litttle time. There was so much driving...back and forth. Anyways, there are, as of now, three songs posted. I promise we will do our best within the next month to get the last 8 songs done! If you can't wait there are some links on twitter, and you can also search on youtube and find live clips from hurricane, magnet, etc.
See you, Cheers

Since we haven't had a proper internet connection the last days, we've been quite slow on updating our blog. Now we're back!
We follow up " i need someone to love" with a recording of "Into the light" we for radio eins in Berlin. Thought the original recording with our sound engineer singing were too inappropriate...
Next up will be "Get lost in a city"!
woho!

Hi guys!
We're currently backstage at the hurricane festival. Yesterday we played at the Southside which was brilliant! amazing crowd! We were really blown away! Crossing our fingers for tonight... Don't know if anyone of you noticed, but we uploaded a new video yesterday! The song is the second track on our album and it was recorded in the hotel bar where we stayed the night before the Southside. Really nice hotel out on the country in Germany. It's even in the Michelin guide! The food was too good!
New video will probably be out during the day!
See you!

Hi everyone!
We're currently on a short tour in Germany, playing both the Southside and the Hurricane festival! In addition we're playing Berlin and Cologne plus Amsterdam! Beacause we are on tour, and beacause we just released an album....we decided to record all 11 songs in different places, and try to get them out on youtube on every day. A mellow version of the first song on the album "The dark side of the blues", was recorded yesterday in a park in Kristiansand, Norway. While we were waiting for the ferry to take us over to Denmark. Enjoy, and see our blog tommorow for the next song "I need someone to love".

hi everyone!
Lately has been hectic. We've been playing a lot of shows and have promoted the album. and it's finally time for an update!
As you can see on our gig list we've been playing in England. We drove to Liverpool and had a couple of days there. Weird city if you ask me, but we enjoyed it! thanks to Alexander Pavelich for letting us stay over at his place (as we couldn't find a spare hotelroom anywhere in town). He showed us a couple of really nice bars and pubs. The first day we played the Cavern club, which was like the ferryboat from Norway to Newcastle but without the ugly ferryboat surroundings. It was a tourist thing... sadly. Almost got tired of The Beatles when i walked through Matthew street. All in all it's alright to have played the Cavern... (even though it's not the same venue as The Beatles played...) The day after we did a acoustic show at the Beaconsfield before we drove to Manchester to play the Hungry Pigeon festival the same day. After some technical problems we managed to start the concert and it went really well. good crowd! dancing in front of the stage and all... Later that night we talked to the drunkest dude ever... wedaweblablabla elano blablabla...
We drove back t London and moved out of the good old house i Walthamstow. Packed the car to the limit and played the 229 before we started the long journey home. We started driving around midnight and stopped for a quick sleep in Belgium at eight in the morning. Slept till two and drove to the north of Denmark to get the ferry over to Norway in the morning next day. it felt good to be back. Five tired guys stopped for Pizza break in Stavanger. One tired guy communicated on a higher level with the cows at rennesøy. And then five tired guys were finally in Haugesund and could sleep a couple of hours before the gig.
The next weeks are gonna be awsome! we're going to germany to play the southside and hurricane festival. Looking forward to that! We're also playing a couple of club shows, so go check it out...
we'll give you updates on the tour and other stuff!
see ya!
