it may seem like we're hibernating like my cousin the bear, but this is my uncle the wolf we're talking about dammit. as always the wheels are greased and the gun is cocked [that's right I said it].
THE KING'S RANSOM ep is being mixed; and should be released before the summer. on top of that we're building and re-building two other projects that will be the cornerstone of our efforts......one flips off the idea of what a "record" is supposed to be, and the other just flips off the world...round by round. as always, I can NEVER say what's really going on 'cause it just ain't my style [and we're working real fucking hard at it], but I promise it'll be worth it. maybe myspace ain't the way to talk to one another, so there is something else in the works so keep your head up and your love lockdown.

playfully yours as the days lengthen,

hey everyone, and you.

so here we are, 2009 already. where the flying cars at? we've been waiting GM...

2008 was both an amazing and terribly strange/shitty year. I guess that's every year when you look back. for my uncle the wolf, our debut record was released in europe and besides the awesome u.s. shows we played, we got to tour with the mighty mighty MINISTRYtones, which off course was the shit. for real, we want to thank everyone who was involved with our "success," or whatever you want to call it. you know we keep to ourselves when we work; but all ya'll that have helped us by getting shows together, buying the record, coming out to see us, reviewing our record and just people that send out vibes-good or bad-you're in our thoughts, and THANK YOU

2009 is going to be awesome, I promise. we've been building a whole lot of shit up to this point. we've always done things our own way and that ain't gonna change. we recorded THE KING'S RANSOM in october, and it should be released in the next couple of weeks. we've been holding off on the us release because we want to do it right....no half-ass bullshit. only time will tell, but we'll keep ya posted....

I have to get back to writing this new shit, the top secret operation is underway, stay in touch...craziness will ensue....

love always,
FURIOUS1.

P.S. CHECK OUT THE KING'S RANSOM SAMPLER ON THE PAGE AND LEAVE A COMMENT........

we finished recording our new EP. we are very eager to get this thing out..it's one of the most intense experiences i've had in my life.
The EP is called " The King's Ransom".
i'm very proud of this. some will love our evolution and some will discredit it and may even abandon it. either way..i'm looking foward to taking this ride.

thanks to everyone who came out to our show last week friday. everyone of us in that place had fun. be on the look out..we'll be hitting you up real soon..

i don't do this often so bare with me..

on oct 1st we're entering the studio in new orleans once again to record some new songs..i'm not about to sit here and tell you prepare for the apocalypse or hide your faces..all i'm saying is that there will be some sort of new release before 2008 ends and to keep your ears free of the wax we call music nowadays.

we haven't played a show since we've been home and to tell you the truth, i like it this way. so don't expect to see us anytime soon in brooklyn unless something out of the less than wide spectrum of this local scene offers some true fun.

once again thank you to everyone who supported our european tour. we had a blast. and we will be back soon.
keep those eyes peeled..

"Buy The Ticket, Take The Ride." gonzo

Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening and Good Night. It's been long overdue since we have put out one of these blog thing-amajigs, but we've been extremely busy; and we also do not want to overestimate our importance as so many others do on this whole myspace bullshit.

For those in The Know, you know we've come along way on our journey: the writing process, recording in New Orleans, handling the post-production of our record, and engaging in live performances when the time calls for it. For those outside of or at the border of "The Know," this is your passport:

Since we recorded over the summer with Jimmy and Puma in New Orleans, we returned to everyone's favorite city with a new member of the tribe: Jeff "The Golden Boy" Golden (he's a nihilist, and I hate him). We spent a few days remixing the record, and a few days flying off the handle. At this time, Debbs dove head-first into the artwork of the record. I promise you this will blow your mind when you see it. Each painting in the booklet tells a story just as each song of the record is a chapter of the story that is the album. Just like I said, I promise you it will blow your mind.

So by now everyone should know that the record is going to be released in Europe on April 4th via Cargo Records, and we couldn't be happier. All we needed was someone to believe in us, and we found them. Nothing has been published yet, but Zac's done a whole bunch of interviews, and the overwhelming majority of the press and reviews of the record are above and beyond what we could hope for. Just to name-check some, check out the next pressings of Metal Hammer (UK & Germany), Terrorizor, EMP, Break Out and many more.

Our journey is almost complete, and it's beginning at the same time. The record will be out soon, and please check it out. There are still eight songs that none of you have heard, and they WILL surprise. There's a whole other side of record that we've kept secret for a while, and it's time for it to get loose. The faster that everyone picks up the record, the faster the next one will come out because I'll fill all you little boys and girls in on another sizzling secret: there's a whole shit load of new songs that sound nothing like anything; except for where we are going.

We're still waiting on the tour dates to be confirmed, so we are NOT in Europe yet. Even though we've answered that question a thousand times, it shows how much ya'll mofos care, so keep asking it.....speaking of all of your sexy questions that give me a tickle in my pants:

MERCH WILL BE UP NEXT WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess that's it for now my fine companions of the interweb, may his holy blessed-spirit grant you a speedy connection, a cool profile-pic, and a song that does not disable every two days on your page.

Life is a pile of shit, try to be a piece of corn,

Vas.

To you,

It's been a long time, been a long time been a...so on and so forth.

I write this at yet another monumental point in the existence of my uncle the wolf. bottom line, our journey is about to begin. everything we've done has been in preparation for what we will be doing in about five weeks time. our individual weaknesses become insignificant when we are together as a group; and I can honestly say collectively, we have never been better...and I have never felt stronger to be a part of something.

as expected, we've had to deal with the forecast of bad karma clouds and rumors. fuck that. we're not breaking up, nor have we ever entertained the possibility. the tribe has shrunk, but we've become tighter. we're setting ourselves up for some difficult as times, but we're following the bukowski way: don't try.

so for the next couple of weeks, just keep a look out. we've put up what I think is the best song we've recorded (SHPD's HWY), with the help of our good friend and great engineer richie (human decline) recorded at hdhq's. if you'd like, check out the interview with mr. brown on the other blog, it's niiiiiice. and in a couple of weeks time when everything is set in stone, we'll give out the details of the map for our little quest for gold. thanks for being you.

do.

Wake Up!,

Since the last time I've checked in, we've been all over the fucking place. Played a bunch of killer shows at awesome venues and met really supportive and cool people along the way. One of the highlights of the past few months was opening two shows for EYEHATEGOD in our home away from home, New Orleans. Since we got back to shitty-ass stab you in the back New York we've been pretty low key, but we've been busy as fucking little animals that are really fucking busy.

We've gone into hiding, lost ourselves, found ourselves, put stuff together, broke it to pieces, put it back together again and most importantly, grown the mandatory 'we're in hiding' facial hair. Anyway, what I'm getting at is this, we've been doing a lot of working and a lot of thinking (not to mention some drinking). There are a bunch of new things that we're doing that I want to write about, but it's a suprise. Shhh. All I'm saying is 2006 was a piece of shit for almost everyone...but for our band, so many people supported us and treated us with the greatest respect that it made up for a lot of that. This year is going to be a little different...we've really got our heads in the right place for once, and all I ask is that everyone keep doing what they're doing. To me, the songs are just coming from the right place, and the shows are getting to the point where I've always wanted them to be, where it's a fucking ritual that everyone who is there and our band become one sort of wierd group celebrating getting away from the monotonous cycle of everyday life.

I ain't talkin' about no revolution, I ain't talking about no world domination.
Let's just kick back for a little while and have some fun until the serious shit comes back.

Current mood:burning in water drowning in flame.

What's up kids, gentelmen, ladies, and pythons?!

I have just returned from my spiritual journey to the motherland, where I explored exciting and new religious ways of life, throwing away all material possessions and finding peace in my inner-being through worshiping the Mountain, the Sabbath and St. Vitus who have gifted us with the bright light that guides us to spiritual fulfilment. Now that I'm done with all that fucking bullshit....My Uncle the Wolf is together and working again after our one month breather. The first show at R&R was killer, and of course thank you to all who showed up, and hooked us up at the show.

This is by far the corniest of the blogs because it needs to be done, but in all seriousness, thank you to everyone who has supported us. We have a bunch of new friends, and a couple new enemies, but that comes with the game, because it's all about life. Regardless of whether or not you like us, we're still going to be doing what we're doing, and we'll be adamant in our beliefs. But the fact that a lot of you dig that motivates us.

The majority of you are smart people, don't settle for shit. NEVER LOSE YOUR INTENSITY. Because the second that you do, you are on you're way to being a fucking Gary. Next thing you know you're going to throw away everything you love for comfortable Kakhi's, ugly ass hiking sandals, shitty beer, weak music, and saddest of all, a corny sense of humor. Keep strong, don't give up, because what matters most is how well you walk through the fire.
