Does anyone out there have any more pics of John Mayer with the Combo?  More specifically, photos of John Mayer with Mark Licktieg?  If you do, please do the Combo a huge favor and send them to me so we can post them on the site.  Help like this will get the Combo's attention to your efforts and that is priceless!!!!

Hey Combo fans,

In case you didn't go last night (which you should have) John Mayer, Jessica Simpson and John's band all showed up at Bunker's and John sat in with The Combo!  Damn, that's 2 weeks in a row of great talent joining in with the legendary act (Last week Jonny Lang).

Lesson learned - git yo' ass down to Bunker's on Sundays & Mondays!

G-Sharp is on myspace and I highly recommend that you check out his page and add him as a friend.  He's currently working on a new album that's gonna be f****** hot!!!  He's only 1 of 4 MN residents to earn a Grammy award for his work with Jimmy Vaughn.  He actually wrote and co-wrote many of the songs on that album that earned him the Grammy.

Hello Combo fans,

Just an update from the Combo - You can now see them every Sunday night as well as every Monday night @ Bunker's on Washington Avenue in downtown Minneapolis. G-Sharp has indicated that Sunday nights will be more laid back and will included more ballads and chilled out R&B style classics. They'll be bringin' all sorts of individuals from around town up on stage so you can see some fresh faces.

Shazzaam!

All I got to say is "There's not enough people at Bunker's on Mondays".  To all you U of M students - you need to check out the combo as you will not find better music in the Twin Cities, or even the entire state of MN.  Like you really need to stay in and "study".  I went to the U of M and I never once studied on a Monday night and I actually graduated.

To all full time workers - Mondays suck... I get it... but as a full time worker myself, there is nothing quite like checkin' out Margie Cox sing "Tell Me Something Good" or Billy Franze imitating Joe Cocker on "With A Little Help From My Friend" or even Bill Brown prefectly executing the piano riff in "Benny & The Jets". Seriously people,  This midwestern mecca of music that is Minneapolis needs your support.  

Let's keep live music in the TC alive and the first step is to see the best - Dr. Mambo's Combo every Monday night 9:30(ish) to close at Bunkers on Washington Avenue.

Prince's new album 3121 is quite different than his last - Musicology.    I have heard people say it is too clubby and that they preferred the Musicology album.  I personally think this album is great.  Combo drummer Michael Bland appears on the album's self titled track and his beat is smokin'!  Yes, the album is clubby but it still keeps that eccentric Funk/R&B sound that Prince does and has done so well in the past.  What do you think of Prince's new album 3121?

I keep getting messages from people wondering who is behind The Combo's myspace account.  Some of you who actually know the members of The Combo personally said that they don't even know. 

My profile name is CP www.myspace.com/palbicki and I am a religious follower of The Combo ( I'm not religious however).  I thought it would be nice to have a place where people could share experiences that they've had at the most exciting show in town.  There is absolutely nothing on the internet that gives these guys and woman the recognition they deserve. 

I will occasionally post blogs about my experiences on Monday nights and if anyone has any great stories they should not hesitate to fill me in.  I will pass on their experiences to all of The Combo's friends, which I hope to expand to at least 1000+ (Shouldn't be a problem since this profile gained 100+ friends in 3 DAYS!!!).

I am not plugging anything else on this profile except Bunkers and The Combo - and maybe news about Prince.  I already have people asking to sit in with The Combo and I have absolutely no power to grant these kinds of  requests.  As it says in the first line of this account, "This profile was strictly made BY and FOR the FANS of The Combo."
