HAIN TENY presents :
…''something in between''…
The Crusaders [reanimated mix by Zupany HTcollective'ss]
The Crusaders is a legendary LA modern jazz-funky-soul-r'n'b sextet, formed by famous keyboard player Joe Sample, saxophone player Wilton Felder and producer, trombone player and occasional bass player Wayne Hederson.
For decades now they have been inspiring all of us who live in these contemporary times and create contemporary music that originates from influences of various relating musical genres. From creating fusion hip hop and setting its final definition, to experimenting with genres that at first glance seem not to have any connections with The Crusaders music. This type of inspiration is present especially in the mid 70's, during their most popular creative period.
The mix we present includes this very period from 1975 to 1980 presented through their albums Free as the Wind, Chain Reaction, Those Southern Kings and Street Life 300s with the rare hit singles such as:
- Feel It
- Free as the Wind
- I Felt the Love
- River Rat
- Sweet n' Sour
- Chain Reaction
- Hallucinate
- Creole
...as many others reanimated by Zupany, from accapellas of Ella Fitzgerald, Sara Vaughan, Aretha Franklin, James Brown as with numerous cuts and scratches that enrich the sound from this perspective.
Until the future issue and mix
