Just a quick, slightly late reminder that it's an all-Lil' Chief weekend,
with two Auckland gigs featuring a host of Lil' Chief bands.
Tonight The Ruby Suns officially launch the spectacular "Sea Lion" with a show at the Kings Arms, supported ably by fellow Lil' Chiefers The Nudie Suits, as well as Surf City.
Tomorrow (ie. Saturday Feb 9th) the Kings Arms hosts a veritable host of
Lil' Chief extravagance, featuring Lawrence Arabia *and* The Reduction
Agents, The Nudie Suits (it never rains but when it pours) and the
long-awaited return of the legendary Disciples of Macca. You'd be fools not
to attend, and my mother told me, never blog a fool.
And finally, don't forget that The Ruby Suns "Sea Lion" is currently in New
Zealand stores, and is available online (for a nice price) both locally and
internationally from http://www.lilchiefrecords.com/store.html . The album
won't be released internationally for another month or two, and the New
Zealand pressing comes in a lovely gatefold card mini-LP sleeve. Plus, all
online orders currently come with a fantastic 20-track compilation album of
Lil' Chief bands. What are you waiting for?
Until next time,
The Chief
