In 1999 design studio Airside launched the first Airside T-shirt Club featuring great t-shirt designs by Pete Fowler, Rhian Hughes, Swifty and Fred Deakin. Ten years later Airside T-shirt Club is still going strong.

To celebrate their 10th anniversary, Airside has invited three of the most popular designers from past T-shirt Clubs to design new t-shirts for the 2009 Airside T-shirt Club. Alongside ever-present founder Fred Deakin (of Lemon Jelly fame), Michael Gillette, Ian Stevenson and Shoboshobo return to the T-shirt Club fold with great new t-shirt ideas.

The concept of T-shirt Club is the same as it was ten years ago. You sign up as a member of Airside T-shirt Club and throughout the summer you will receive four t-shirts by the guest designers. The twist is you won’t know what the design is until you receive it in the post, but you will have an exclusive limited edition t-shirt that will never be reprinted or resold.

As ever all members will receive an exclusive gift when they sign up, which this year is a very special A2 poster on the history of Airside T-shirt Club. There will also be discount offers on other Airside products throughout the year.
The closing date for membership is 30 Apr 2009. The first t-shirt will be sent out in May.

You can join the t-shirt club online here

A Benefit Show for the Environment
Open Space Gallery, New York, 12th April - 3rd May

The average family brings home 1,000 plastic bags every year. It is time for us to switch from a disposable society to one which reduces, reuses and recycles. This show will help spread the message that we care about our planet and do not want to just consume until there is nothing left. We are certain that we will all make a difference.

OPEN SPACE has asked 125 artists from around the world to donate their time and talent to this cause in the form of custom-designed tote bags. The bags will be on display and available to purchase at OPEN SPACE from April 12th thru May 3rd and will also exist on this site during and after the show for all to see and purchase. 90% of the proceeds from the sales of the show will go to the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, an amazing New York-based organization committed to environmental educaiton and advocacy.
