While preparing for the release of the new singel "Mrs. Hero" Slaves To Fashion (formerly known as P:O:B) is constantly recording and mixing more new material. And now a brand new song has been uploaded! It's called "Left Out In The Cold" and we're really proud of it. The song was recorded by the band in FishFarm Studios and has been mixed and mastered by Torfinn Sirnes. We hope you like it! Hi everyone!
Many people are asking us why we decided to change the band name from P:O:B to Slaves To Fashion. Cause obviously, changing the band name after already having releaed the first album doesn't seem like the best idea in the world, but here are the reasons:
1. There was a lot of confusion with the nu-metal band called P.O.D.
2. The spelling didn't really work. P:O:B was sometimes POB, sometimes P.O.B, sometimes Pob, sometimes POD...
3. P:O:B was a abbreviation for Pedestrians Of Blue, which was a name nobody understood, ourselves included.
4. In Norwegian and some other languages people pronounced the name P:O:B quite differently than in English.
5. When people asked about the name, we didn't like to say it cause it wasn't the coolest name in the world.
Hope that explains the deal! :-)
Cheers, Slaves To Fashion

Also, a lot of new material has been written for the follow-up to last year's "Crossing Over" and the band keeps working on the new songs with another album in mind. Hi everyone!
Good news! This week we are recording new songs for the next chapter of P:O:B. Two of the songs we have been playing live: Mrs. Hero and Left Out In The Cold. Other working titles include Libido Ride, How It Seems and Made To Meet My Eyes. We think they will turn out great!
We also want to thank all the wonderful people in Rovaniemi for the great stay in Finland last week. The show was great and the whole weekend was nothing but amazing fun. We made a lot of friends in our new favourite country.
Cheers / Tor

A new song, Left Out In The Cold, will also be included in the set. We hope to meet many new friends in Finland and hope to see some of you at the show :)
Cheers / Torfinn

Hi everyone!
We are starting to get ready for the Simerock Festival in Rovaniemi, Finland on July 5th. In this show the band (Josh, Tor, Stein and Vidar) will be joined by Ben Nerdal from Syme on bass guitar. Rehearsals are going great. A brand new song, Left Out In The Cold, will probably also be presented for the arctic audience.
Cheers, Tor

Great news! Two new band members have permanently joined the band: Vidar Ingvaldsen on drums and Stein Arild Grønås on guitar. They are both very talented players and longtime friends of Johs and myself - and they have both also played live with the band on our shows so far. Cheers, Torfinn
