It's Saturday night and what am I doing? I'm working on Talk Stink. Potables were consumed last night. It gives me a day of recovery before going into the work week. Work like a dog, vacation with the same ethic. More debauchery would certianly cure the summer doldrums, but there's a time and place for everything. So hopefully LX met some European female travellers during his Mexican tour. If he hasn't then there's no balance in this world. What with me working on a Saturday night and all.

NetFlix recently opened a distribution center on Oahu. That means somewhere on this island there's a team working on opening, scanning, printing and sealing those square red and white envelopes. The perks are good: All employees get a free NetFlix account. Smart, as it's always good when your employees are familiar users of your product. It's one of those things you wouldn't know about unless you've been reading the job listings in detail. I still desire a position as wrtier's assistant for the Lost writing team at Bad Robot. Should I ever land that gig I'd give up Talk Stink instantly if asked. It'd be easy considering I'm insanely qualified for the job.

With some encouragement I've posted a few comics from Talk Stink to this myspace profile. These comics are probably the most accessable of the lot. In producing these I've grown new respect in those who write and draw three panel daily strips. It's tough work. You'd think with 33 hours of Court TV under my belt I'd have posted something on Talk Stink about the Michael Jackson trial, but the thought of sitting through another hour with Nancy Grace... Let's put it this way: Vomit mouth is a sensation not unlike Nancy Grace's opinions. Not that I didn't agree with things she said. She's simply not a journalist. Though that's not why she's got her own show. "Acting! Genius! Thank You!" The court system is really interesting. If you like money and acting don't dream of Hollywood... Attend law school instead.

Initially this post was titled "How to be an Asshole on $1-a-day," but then I realized that being an ass online is akin to a zen koan, and it'd go something like this: If you're an asshole online but nobody reads your shit, are you still an asshole? There's no way I can gauge because none of my readers bother responding. "Oh, hey. It's another weblog without nude pictures. Next!" Maybe this is all about those emails from the early days of Talk Stink when I'd reply to nasty emails from reporters whose conceit needed a boost. Ironically, these letters were my reader's favorite feature of The Stink when surveyed. Since then I've toned down the bite of the site. Can't you tell? No? Then I must be doing something right. And if you don't want to comment on what you see at Talk Stink at least visit my sponsors. Bandwidth doesn't grow on trees.
