Current mood: accomplished
So, I decided today that I like flowers. I like people GIVING me flowers. Unfortunately, I seem to be lacking in the people to give me flowers department, so every Tuesday I'm going to give myself flowers. I'm gonna buy them and keep them for a week, then get new ones. Flowers make everything beautiful, and I'm tired for stupid men to open their eyes and buy them for me. I'm not a stupid man, so I'm buying them for me! heh.
YAY flowers.

"There's a fine, fine line between a lover and a friend There's a fine, fine line between reality and pretend And you never know 'til you reach the top if it was worth the uphill climb There's a fine, fine line between love and a waste of time.
There's a fine, fine line between a fairy tail and a lie And there's a fine, fine line between you're wonderful and goodbye I guess if someone doesn't love you back, it isn't such a crime, But there's a fine, fine line between love and a waste of your time.
And I don't have the time to waste on you anymore. I don't think that you even know what you're looking for. For my own sanity I've gotta close the door and walk away. Oh.
There's a fine, fine line between together and not. And there's a fine, fine line between what you wanted and what you got. You've gotta go after the things you want while you're still in your prime. There's a fine, fine line between love and a waste of time."
The writers of Avenue Q are genius. Seriously

Current mood: giddy
So I realized at 5:45 am while wasting time until I call my friend to pick me up at the airport what a hodgepodge group of friends I have on myspace. Of which I've met most in person, from several different ways....
So here's to my friends... From the ones who I originally met online, to the ones that live here in Santa Cruz, to the ones from back in New Mexico, to the ones I've re-united with after ten years, to the ones I have common interests with around the country, to my fellow grad students, to the ones that I met while be an obnoxious drunk at the Red Room... You're all wonderful people and I'm glad that you've been a part of my life! WOOT!

Okay so I switche cell phone services and got a new phone. Go me! Mostly because I wanted the free mobile-to-mobile. Anyway, I'm also a dork because it now plays "The Cantina Theme." Also, the number is 831-295-2927 and I want random people to call me, cuz how cool would that be? Especially if you're a cute guy who wants a date! I'm such a dork.
Oh and I have 41 blog views. Which was pretty good considering I only have 3 entires. That's an average of almost 14 an entry! Since I only have 16 friends, it means everyone loves me so much to know what's going on in my life, OR I have some serious stalkers.
Either way! Woo!
I think myspace is now going to be my random blog spot and livejournal is going to me my usual blog spot. So every once in awhile something will get posted here if anyone is interested.

Current mood: loved
So I decided to repost this from my live journal blog. Mostly because it made my day and I feel the need to share it with as many people as possible!
So, my friend John sent me a postcard. I feel the need to share it here, because it made me cry when I read it. Not in a bad way, just in an emotional way. So here it is:
Dear Grant,
Kelli (from Nebr., you met her at the beach roast) told me this week you made the evening fun for her; she wouldn't have stayed near that long without you. And Ahdullah just says "Santa Cruz" and laughs. (drawn smiley face here) You are well-liked!
-- John
(and there are a bunch of stars. And it's an ab-fab postcard)
How amazing is it that people I just meet are telling my friends how wonderful I am? Sometimes it's easy to forget. The reminder is nice.

Current mood: cheerful
Okay so this was originally a bulletin I posted to my friends, but I put it here too, so if any random person comes to my page because I'm connected to a friend, feel free to help out! Or if you want to volunteer yourself. Feel free.
Okay, so here I was this morning thinking up crazy things, like usual, and so with the state of my life recently, I've decided to put this out there.
So here's the deal. Today, April 14th is exactly two weeks before my 29th birthday. I know, 29! How exciting. Soon will I leave behind the insanity that is the twentysomethings (okay so in a year and two weeks, but still it's getting closer by the day!) and I'll be moving into the more stable life of a thirtysomething.
Anyway, since I'm not getting any younger, and I seem perfectly incapable at all of being remotely interested in men who are available and/or interested back and/or not crazy drug addicts, I've decided that my new myspace friends who are in the Santa Cruz area (or at least California area, which excludes you Paul, unless you KNOW people in the Santa Cruz area) need to find wonderfully amazing gay or bi men to set me up on dates with. That is now your job. I bequeath this task amongst you. Go into the world and find me a man. Or at least a date or two. Since most of you have been in the area WAAAAAY longer than I have, I figure you have better resources than I do, and I plan on utilizing these resources to the best of my ability.
Go now! Keep your eyes open! Although I do have a few requests. 1) Just so you know, I am EXTREMELY picky, I think that's why I've single so much. Which I'm fine with, but if it doesn't work out, I don't want you to take it personally. 2) I think since I'm getting closer to 30, mid-twenties is probably a good age cut off, but I'm willing to go all the way to 21, but preferably nothing younger than that. 3) I don't expect them to be perfect, because I'm not, but I think you all have a good idea what I like and what I'm like, so try to make somewhat decent choices based on my personality and the personality of the other one. I mean I really don't think I'd get along too well with a Log Cabin Republican, or someone who doesn't get my fucked up sense of humor. Who knew poverty could be funny? (Thanks Timothy. Not that he's reading this, but I still need to thank him.) 4) There is no number 4. I think that's it.
Questions? Feel free to email me. I'm also going to post this on my myspace blog, but not my livejournal blog, since most of the people who read it there are people in New Mexico.
Go now! Your king commands! And Good Luck everyone!
