Current mood:  jubilant

I just wanted to thanks all the bands and artists who allowed me to help them make their art in the past 2 years at the old studio.
but
the times they are a changing(for the better too!)
the 2 years spent making records at the elf house in North Haven were very productive and creative ones.
time has come to move on and up, like the Jeffersons....sort of.
check out the new pics of the new studio, as its assembled, in North Branford CT.
It is behind the lovely Log Home Niamh and I have bought and moved into.
We now live in a Log Cabin high on a hill between two rock outcroppings known to the locals as Notch Hill.
The Studio will now be housed in an 880 sq. ft. Log Cabin outbuilding with one garage door for load in.
The layout of the room has yet to be finalized but it looks as if we are going to heat it with a combination of Wood Stove in the tracking room and Electric Baseboard in the control room.
As the design comes together updated pics will appear on the studio profile.
SO COME ON UP THE LONG WINDING DRIVE, TO THE CABIN, AND MAKE YOUR NEXT RECORD

Current mood:studios make musicians nervous.

usually, you pay hourly, and the clock is ticking and you are getting more focused on what "not" to do....
and that prevents the magic from happening.
i would most likely bet that your favorite records were made in an environment that suited the musicians in the room.
is there any reason a studio should feel like a doctors office, with delicate expensive equipment you are afraid to touch?
you probably have the most fun playing music in your living room, garage or front porch anyway.
so that is what we offer you.
come to my living room, garage and front porch.
I'll set up the mics and get some nice sounds,
you can light a fire in the fireplace, put on a pot of tea or crack a beer and loosen up and play....
if that's how you would like to make a record....

well, its been a long road, but The Don't Tells and The Mountain Movers records are out and circulating. (have you gotten a listen yet?)
Such great fun was had in the making of those records, I am sure those bands would agree.
Barry is on the road doing FOH sound and tour management for Ritchie Blackmore,
while I am in the studio here in North Haven making records.
So as I come to the final mixing stage of the current projects, producing/engineering records with both
The Quiet Life and Kimono Draggin',

I am to putting the word out for any bands/songwriters looking to make a record.
I am able to travel to another studio too!
so....
feel free to contact me here on Myspace or S_N_AMORE@yahoo.com with any questions and/or comments.
