At last I've managed to free up the readies (and the time) to finish off the new album in the manner to which it is accustomed. So I'm off to the studio two weeks on Monday to finally put the whole thing together, that is if I can remember how the songs go this long after doing the drum tracks for them. And then after that, release it and there's a live show next year. Yep. One whole show. I'm doing it with a full band, I'll put up some details once the album's done. Someone wish me luck.

For the Easter week 2006 only, here's a couple of old school prog covers. Not that they're done in an old school prog style. The middle section of IQ's The Last Human Gateway is just piano and voice, taken from a show supporting Emm Gryner at The Betsey Trotwood in London. Very different is the mauling given to Broadway Melody of 1974 by Genesis. I can't even remember how it came about, but it didn't take very long, and I like the effect at the end where it sounds like the recording equipment has exploded.
Hurrah!
