CASS McCOMBS-
KATACOMBEN (CATACOMBS)....
....
(Dreams-come-true-girl)....
....
Du bist nicht das Mädchen meiner Träume
Du bist nicht das Mädchen meiner Wirklichkeit
Du bist das Mädchen meiner in Erfüllung
gegangenen Träume
....
All die Sorgen meiner Vergangenheit
Verging dann
hat nur meine Immunität stark gemacht
....
Ich wurde gesegnet
Deine Augen sind zwei Monde
....
Ich hoffe diese Reise
Wird nicht bald ein Ende nehmen
....
Die Zukunft in Bahnen vorauszusagen
Mit diesen Spiegeln der Vollendung
In den Armen deiner Zuneigung
Zu sterben
....
Was ist das für ein Land?
Darf ich niemals aufwachen
....
Du bist nicht das Mädchen meiner Träume
Du bist nicht das Mädchen meiner Wirklichkeit
Du bist das Mädchen meiner in Erfüllung
gegangenen Träume
....
PRIMADONNA....
....

Stepping down into the day to watch the leaf turn a praying mantis rested on my western wedding jacket True story, perhaps that's why the oracle was silent...
Nothing much is left to chance One sees the sun only at a glance Everything has to be just-so Everything has to be just-so
In the age of cool opinion, let me be wild passion! And re-edit the 'sacred heart' video with a different ending and wig
Nothing much is left to chance One sees the sun only at a glance Everything has to be just-so Everything has to be just-so
So, here's the deal, ante up: A club, to cheat death A heart, so there's something to lose A diamond, for virtue A spade, to dig with

Translation by David Baker Benson and Barbara Reiger of Charlottesville, Va.
PREGNANT PAUSE- BEDEUTUNGSSCHWANGERES SCHWEIGEN
THAT'S THAT- DAS WARS
PETRIFIED FOREST- VERSTEINERTER WALD
CRICK IN MY NECK- MEIN STEIFER NACKEN
FULL MOON OR INFINITY - VOLLMOND ODER EWIGKEIT
WHEEL OF FORTUNE – RAD DES SCHICKSALS

the lyrics for 'A' were originally offered on a two-sided photocopy by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to the label. the idea was to make a physical and mental connection between the artist, who hand copied them, and the listener/reader. after awhile though, the system of sending the envelopes back to the people failed due to neglect on the label's part. we apologize if there were any missing envelopes out there and hope that this, although it isn't a physical connection, will make up mentally. cass and co.

I WENT TO THE HOSPITAL I dare not cough Nor breathe deep There's been a pain in my chest for nearly a week I want to be famous for falling in love I went to the hopital They put me in a bed Because I always do What my mother says Why should I lie About results of a test? I may soon be gone To pluck on a harp Like those colored pencil portraits of dogs We saw on a blue tarp But I spotted a damsel if memory serves I went to the hospital They put me in a bed I always do what my mother says Why should I lie abou results of a test? So_. Who is your provider? Uh_. Where'd you get that bread? Is it dying that terrified you? Or Just being dead? We are living in an era of kings I went to the hospital They put me in a bed I always do what my mother says Why should I lie about results of a test.

EQUINOX Of all the creatures in the wood One law is commonly understood Deep in the heart of Fontainbleau The marriage of a whore and Jew The bride's true dowry black rocks Equinox The wedding is followed by gifts Catherine de Medici lives Silverfish quilting testicle Despotic owl conducts the wolves And mulls attacking a fox Equinox Equinox Red birth mark Equal light Equal dark North to south Thoth with pen Let us give praise and thanks, Amen Celestial bodies transform to flesh And commune with the wedding's guests They twist and thrust and whine and grope As if under a microscope In hope to to catch small pox Equinox
SUBTRACTION Subtraction, subtraction, subtraction It's my duty It's my duty and passion If I could, even for a moment, I would strip the hue out of my hair And I'm not the kind I'm not the kind to care Step into the dead oak, Take away all light, every glimmer Find a church Find a church and finish your dinner Subtracting is a gift we all can use To make the blood inside pump clear Because I'm not the one I'm not the one I should fear Human skull, human skull, human skull Without body Without body, I feel your pull The pulling of my chest by the lexus Of your white cranial bone In other words In other words, PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE Drip by drip, number after number, It all will fall Minus Klock Minus Klock and minus Paul The skull returns, taking flight, Ascending without chest and without sound Until I'm one Until I'm one with the ground
MULTIPLE SUNS I'm looking forward to losing all my hair I'm looking forward to looking backward Multiple suns have always guided me Multiple suns, to do my bidding I recall my youth with Klock: A bubbling boob of hate Still, I fashioned not one crime And Klock, ofcourse, was arrested They turned his mind to paste Yes, it happens all the time Now you ask me 'why so many suns?' One for each murder me and my angel done De profundis; how I love to live this loose! De profundis; with my Donald Duck orange juice! Klock was like an older brother And for awhile I was he Or rather he was I Now I regard him as another One of my sovereign suns Yes, this happens all the time
The Harpies scatter; intestines unravel Better than memory: ACTUAL TIME TRAVEL Heavens abound in pomegranite light Heavens abound; I gain back my overbite I am their only planet Suns of the bluest flame Stoic, yet volitile If'n the past come hither I keep the gaslight burning Because it could happen any time
TOURIST WOMAN For Tourist Woman, the itching is turning to fever and then to form For Tourist Woman, insecurities are bunk-pollen for the swarm And vice-versa, the swarm, turning to fury, captures a prisoner Tourist Woman is unhappy with the meager conditions they have given her From Oxford to UCLA to empoverished streets of a Bengali village T.W. fights for nothing, believes in nothing, except an image The image in her mind is of vague origin of, mostly, western result Somewhat pyramid, somewhat cross, somewhat a mongrel cult Like the old man Who slept his life away Romantics are doomed (and that's a good thing)
SACRED HEART Sacred Heart, surveyed from the summit, a pantheon, distant as ever, echoing up the mountainside, escaped sound, like a vulcan kiss upon the forehead Alas! Jimmy. And all the members of the covenant Noble scholars, without you I'd have drowned in gutterwater Alas! You, of course, have my infinite gratitude You, My Most Sacred Heart Yet I piss and moan for I have ____ Dearly Departed, we are gathered here today in reverence Dearly Departed, we all will return to the soil Alas! Alas! For all my Alas!-es, I cannot mend this massive slashing Futile beacon! Cinderella's in the doghouse The doghouse The doghouse No, love doesn't always boomerang
SHE'S STILL SUFFERING Who aren't you today? Where and what are we? Under a pile of worn clothes This is how I find you Spinning vomit-webs Blabbering on and on You need more than vitamin D Is there not anything you love? Come OUT. Dog, you know what this is What are you hiding from? You were once such a merry prince Just tickled pink by life Take , remember her? She never could listen It's been years upon years And she's still suffering Come OUT. Look at the apples on the tree Wait 'til they fall Just find what makes you come alive And that is all Swing on a chandelier You are in perfect health Don't give up on your friends Don't give up on yourself Open hearts...
CUCKOO Dawn in Albany Statesmen are still asleep The first noise heard Through the dew: "cuckoo!" A rattle follows The coroner's office glows This is my portrait of you, Cuckoo Cuckoo is your given name Christened in the solitude of Fame Ah! Friends as such! Whose love is without touch All four horsemen are you, Cuckoo Like Brughel's Miser in the frame Quite literally, you're insane A cop-out? So flippantly talked about Stand up, here comes your cue... "cuckoo!"
BURY MARY I'm tearing up the carpet And I'm putting in tile What if there happens to be a spill? A stain would cramp my style I wonder how I did get here To this awful place? Very well, there's work to be done Anyway, I could use the space Tonight I'm going to bury Mary Tonight I'm going to bury her Tonight I'm going to fake a miracle I'll wait for the light of the moon How I love the constelations! Especially Orion, We've had many conversations The hansome giant slew all the wild beasts For the protection of his love Eos When he was blinded her rising sun Returned his eyes to their greenest Tonight I'm going to bury Mary... I'm going to bury her china I'm going to bury her clothes I'm going to bury it all in one fell swoop That's the best way, I suppose Ping-ping goes the shovel! Pang-pang goes the pail! The middle of summer And the furnace will be burning When she gets some mail! Tonight I'm going to bury Mary... CITY OF BROTHERLY LOVE So you fell out of the nest Pigeon feathers in your mouth This considered Son Of Letters Is taking you out Our father who art in heaven Made a circle around my brethren A circle you did cross Let me be more specific I'm the model, you're the mythic And NOW you get tossed Welly, welly, well Who doesn't owe to you? No guardian nor craft Yes, I've read my Plato, too This battle-talk that I'm spitting Is my war correspondant ambitions Coming to light Semper Fi, E Pluribus Unim My arm's extended; who am I fooling? And NOW you get wiped City Of Brotherly Love
ALL YOUR DREAMS MAY COME TRUE What rot. Speak up, child Can you not see This is maddening? Hello, muffin Hello, Lame One Hello, ornament What utter and complete rot. How much more Can be left unsaid? Surely, something must suffer All your dreams may come true And don't you doubt it The Earth is slowing now And your mind's crowded We're going to celebrate Just wait and see Your dreams just may come true If it's meant to be So, this is magic? Your great mystery I'm coming around now As an illiterate adult Hello, anything Hello, dirty money Rest assured, These lips are sealed How much more Can be left unsaid? Surely, something must suffer What bother...
