Artist : Len Faki
Title : death by house remixes
Label : Cocoon Recordings
Cat# : COR12065
Release Date : 09-2009
Format : 12″&Digital
Tracks :
A1 : death by house ( Adam Beyer & Jesper Dahlback remix )
B1 : death by house ( A.Mochi remix )
Digital Only : death by house ( Ed Davenport Remix )

http://www.cocoon.net/shop../

Info :
Len Faki's "Death By House" was undoubtedly the ultimate hit on the next to last Cocoon Compilation H, uniting the Techno and House floors worldwide in a sense of hedonism like no other track before. After more than one year, OstGut-/Berghain resident Len Faki is now leaving the echo of this conjuration of powerful Jack-House to very competent hands: Drumcode mastermind Adam Beyer, who already has reworked Faki's biggest hit so far "Rainbow Delta", and his Swedish companion Jesper Dahlbäck provide peak time entertainment deluxe. A bass kick that makes the earth shake, percussive Discotech is massaging your diaphragm before the programmatic announcement "House your body to the bass" gives the total loss of control a motto again. It's even more astonishing that the second remix of the – at least in this country – rather unknown DJ Akihiro Mochizuki aka A.Mochi does not stay behind, regarding the energy level, thanks to a pulsing bass, clockwork effects and a fulminantly growing hands-in-the-air break. No wonder that besides Len Faki for his Figure label also Dubfire is using the services of the man from Tokyo for his Sci+Tec imprint.

Having already supplied one deadly shipment of total floor quakers in the form of his last EP,Figure 13, and of course the bass-storm that was his remix of Julien Jeweil's‘My Cat’ (Figure 18),Japan’s A.Mochi returns to Figure. Delivering a fresh cargo of irrepressible, surging rhythms,Figure 19 is a powerful and cooly defined effort, affirming this promising producer’s gargantuan talents.
Simple, stripped and effective, ‘Black Out' packages only a handful of superbly placed sounds into a tough, post-tribal groovetool that expands effortlessly over a full 9 minutes.
Mochi’s trademark thunderous bass energies work in unison with tricky percussion patterns and teasing, rewarding moments of tension, building to rapturous explosions of static electricity!
‘Brunt’ goes further into Mochi’s deep-rolling,intense bass world, this time coupling the urgent, reduced percussion with thick room filling metallic stabs that might have been forged from the molten depths of techno’s very core... Thats not to say its a scary ride however, as the pure funk and drive will lift your hands up and make your heart race.
Finally ‘Whiplash’ rides in to tie up the package.
A pacy, twitching drumtrack, its dry and energetic percussive landscape unfolds amongst yet more static outbursts and thrilling, synthetic swells.
Perhaps the most sinister cut of the EP, Mochi keeps the energy flowing with his fine tuned production style and unmistakable power from start to finish.

Artist: Julian Jeweil
Title: ‘My Cat’ feat A.Mochi Remix
Cat.No: Figure 018
Release Date: 20.05.09
Label: Figure
Format: 12” + Digital
Track:
A. My Cat
B. My Cat (A.Mochi Remix)

Busy French scene-climber Julian Jeweil presents a brand new electrifying offering for his debut on Len Faki’s Figure imprint. A resident of Marseille, and a well known name
amongst the French post-minimal-techno key players,Jeweil is beginning to earn a name for himself far beyond the reaches of his home land.
This insistent, rolling club destroyer is full of high quality attention to detail, thrilling fills,
wild-pitch fx and an urgency that literally demands you to move. ‘My Cat’ is sure to be a winner amongst Djs who have the confidence to really bear their claws…!
Instantly recognisable thanks to its immense pitching, hissing moments of climax and release, this Cat is wild! Already known for his stunning propulsive release on Figure 13
(Battery / Harvester / Puppets), Japan’s A.Mochi turns in his interpretation of ‘My Cat’, maintaining the bouncing funk of the original, while twisting it towards his own unique field of play with his trademarked intense bass energy and subsonic trickery.
Shuffling layers of metallic percussion and walls of static lead us into a succession of irresistible and equally crazy breaks, taking us to the edge of reason before bringing things safely back down to earth.

Tracks:
A. Battery
B-1. Harvester
B-2. Puppets

Release: 29,Oct,2008 Vinyl

Big with: Adam Beyer, Dubfire, Mauro Picotto, Anja Schneider, Mark Broom,
Len Faki and many others !!! TIP !!!
A.Mochi's gigs in Tokyo clubs like Maniac Love, Womb or Ageha made him an irreplaceable part of Japans techno scene. Having achieved international acclaim with records on labels like Francois K's Wavetec and Luke Slaters
Mote Evolver, he is now considered as one of the most exciting young techno producers. The four new tracks for the Berlin-based Figure might be his most fascinating productions so far. There is hardly any reference for his uncompromissing approach to club music: The bassline is the center of each track. Its energy suffuses the dancefloor entirely. And the thickest concrete floor hums like a swarm of bees, the wall of sounds absorbs the listener completely. "Battery" reflects A.Mochi's obsession for an ongoing continuous groove and inorganic dark techno sound. As like Maniac the accoustic textures become thicker and thicker, the groove remains harsh and funky. "Harvester" contrasts heavily with the intransigence of "Battery". "Puppets" combines the dramaturgy of classical Chicago House track with dark, defiant sounds.
