SonicSunset Part 1> Alternate soundtrack to a 1983 film about a spaceman stranded in Harlem, expressed with soul, electronic funk & boogie - winds up with a few beautifully synthesized italo disco anthems from the same era.
Part 2> A melding of 80s styles with current Chicago/Detroit-influenced goodness floats away into lush ambience and two cello-based moods, followed by a late-summer house wind-down into dubbed-out sounds and 90s hypnotic minimalism. Notable new slabs from Pan Sonic, Sven Weisemann, and a hot re-issue of extra-rare old-school Chicago deepness from Joe Lewis.
