"First track kinda reminds me of something squarespusher would do up until the real heavy bit in the last 2 mins. And what's that synth thing, or maybe a flute.. that cracked me up ...that's a mad riff either way. Like the change up and downs on the drums. Kinda like the acoustic period in Ulver meets the blood inside era. The second track is so New Order it's hilarious. Or maybe Aphex Twin meets New Order is a closer aproximation. Reminds me alot of RDJ's AFX material. I love the drum programming fx thing on the snare. I recon this track could be made into a killer DnB or IDM remix. Killer FX after the fade somewhere around the last 2 minutes. Nice build back up, good choice of FX. Guitar overdubs (if I'm hearing this correctly) tasteful and not too excessive as can happen with layering after a build. Medium sad, my favorite song title on this one. Nice piano/synth licks. Back and Forth - nice. Kinda like a jazzy Joy Division, nice production, heavy bits using things other than powerchords, nice. Nice subtle keys bits. Snare used well to punctuate beats. And that really hidden synth part (early on) is an interesting idea. I like the idea of quiet layering, I should probably do that more myself. Actually this track kinds reminds me of "Breathe" by Pink Floyd. I love the breath synth, or vocoder effect or whatever that is doing the subtle vocal part. Outrocious - nice play on words there. I'm a big fan of noiseout-ros so yeah I got this. Not sure if many people are into this kinda sound but if you're doing this primarily for your own amusement it souldn't matter. Interesting sonic textures. Very Aphex Twin style drumming. Kinda reminds me of Sunn O))) atmospherics. Actually yeah this is very Aphex/Pusher. A cool chill back ambient track. Well that's my reiview. I like to listen to this one on the long busride home. The production is very clear but not too bassy, tinny or minimal." by Lord FleshAnother review here: by Headphone Check

I'm giving my fans the opportunity to choose between buying the physical CD of my new EP or to download it for free: HERE The priority is getting the music out there so I'm leaving it up to you whether you wanna buy it or not. Some people are old fashion and want to have the real thing in their hands. Some people simply don't have the budget. Whatever the case is, you choose how you want it. Note that the physical release is limited. Please spread the word. Burn copies and hand them out to people. Post this on blogspots, forums, and music sites. I appreciate the support.

by Narath:
"It's kind of hard to get a decent length interview when reviewing only one song, so forgive me for such a short review. Garry Brents, the sole member of Parabstruse had released his first demo earlier this year, simply entitled 'Demo 2007', this album featured some of the most original, emotional, songs I have ever heard. I cannot help but wonder how Garry created that… then I heard And I, The Cape Of… and holy. Fucking. Shit. And I, the Cape of… is a vast improvement on Demo 2007, though it's only one song, it's has plenty of variety. It begins with a slow, clean electric guitar which eventually builds up in to a light distorted guitar with bass and drums and it's one of the most depressing riffs I have ever heard – I get chills every time I listen. Right from the beginning it's obvious Parabstruse abandoned a large portion of its black metal sound for a much stronger post rock sound. Throughout the song there's a mix of post-rock interludes, Demo 2007-esque sounding riffs, ambient fills and distorted riffs, which are absolutely incredible. Although there is no vocals on this demo (song, if you'd prefer) the music says more than a passage of words could ever say. This song is so depressing, every riff has that 'happy end to a sad movie' feel shadowing over it, which is more than enough to bring tears to your eye. With every listen of this song, I feel my eyes water, my body go limp, my heart speed up and I can't help but stare at the wall and just think about life and all the ups and downs it has to offer. Unfortunately, as mentioned before; this is only one song, which is why it doesn't get more than 90, if he releases an entire album like this, we'll be looking at a score in the high end 90s. It's a crime to miss this song – it's absolutely extraordinary. Parabstruse will be well known in the future – take my word for it."
