At Mutantfest this year I did some lovely collabs. Some of my favorite were with the Doom School kids... specifically Ladyshade and Eyerish Heather Collins. Sunday night, some lovely creations were made that, as they are mastered, will be uploaded to the website.
Very shortly (finishing now) I will be uploading a track from there that is all live with a drum track added for studio mcfun-ery. The vibe then was chill, the vibe I'm hearing now requires more frenetic drums, so they have been added, and all else is live improv while in sleep deprived and otherwise states.
It's called "The Strange". The ladies absolutely hit perfection with their voices and glockenspiel playing. Uploaded shortly, finishing touches being added now.

I want to play shows but have too much to do right now to set up my big event type things. I want to just make music and not have to worry about all the rest. So... If you're in the NW, talk to me about booking me. House parties, clubs, shows, outdoors, guerilla style, whatever. As you'll know if you listen, I play a wide variety of shit usually connecting via all being mindfuckish, intense and so forth. Ambient, crazy dance, whatever... I embrace whichever aspect of myself best fits the ambiance and others playing. It's nice to get paid, but I also just love to play, so... if you're making money I want to make money. If you're not and can't afford anything, I'm not either, if I respect what you're doing. I'll be uploading a bunch of the ambient live stuff from this year over this month, and creating new live sets of more dancey variety (but still very very explorative and not your usual shizz) as well, so that you can't say you don't know what I can bring to the table live. I figure this is a long shot in hell, but hey, never hurts to try. I'm willing and able to travel anywhere in and bordering Cascadia (northern cali to vancouver bc, probably out to idaho ish) under the right circumstances. -nn happyhumans.org

Okay, so... I was recording a bunch of older stuff that needed finishing, and a bunch of newer stuff. I had done a lot of work.
We'll ignore the details, but the work is gone for the most part. Fucking digital shit.
To take the positive view, I was only finishing it up so I could move forth without feeling constantly pulled towards working in the/on the past. So, clean slate is had in a different way.
Fuckit. Forward movement is good even if past loss hurts.

you do all you can do
and it's not enough.
There's only all you can do. And that's enough for anything important.

I'll be playing a set around 10pm under the Sad Music for Happy Humans guise; new stuff, no big productions this time, although perhaps I'll have a little something special visually (PERHAPS).
Playing inside will be: Nostalgia (subconsciously primal flow made by bass and lots of pedals and some energetic drumming) Spirospero (violin/drum/guitar dreaminess) Happy Wigs of Doom (goth/glam rock)
Playing outside will be: Me! aka Sad Music for Happy Humans and I believe a DJ as well?
Do come down!

I was just asked to play the birthday show of a friend I've known for some time now, the man behind Nostalgia (http://www. myspace. com/nostalgia).
It'll be October 17th (friday) in inner SE portland at Plan B (se 7th and main, I believe), will have 4 bands inside, myself and most likely a dark DJ afterwards (owen?) outside... entry should be only 2-3 dollars and they pour those drinks stiff at Plan B! Seems like SMHH goes on around 10ish.
More details as they come.

Changed "next time" to "a wrinkle in time" as the album is time based and I almost forgot to use one of my favorite usages.
