Well, after a year of procrastination, stagnation, and libations, The Dominion finally took to the stage. The piece? Patrick John Costello called it a 'bastardisation' of Chekov's "The exclamation mark", and the 10 minute short play went on as part of the larger "Shortlist" evening, hosted by the theatrical grocery team of Sidemart (of which Costello is also a member). The two night run was a success through and through, with many an onlooker watching in disbelief as the boys butchered a fine piece of literature for the sake of balls-out comedy. Well done, boys, well done.
Watch out for future projects. After all, it only took one year to manage a 10 minute short. Having said that, the ball is now clearly rolling...
and roll it will.

our congrats go out tonight to Joe Thornton and Jonathan Cheechoo of the San Jose Sharks. Joe Tho came from a long way back to snare the Art Ross away from the clutches of the evil Jammy Jagr and keep the trophy in Canada. Jonathan also pulled off a Jagr theft, this time by way of the Rocket Richard trophy for honouring the league leader in goals. Also keeping the trophy safely in Canadian hands.
Kudos to you boys! we've already had a beer in your honour.
cheers, or should we say...
Czech mate?

we came, we saw, we curled...
if we are going to make it to 2010, or 2014, 18, 22, 26, or even 30, we're going to have to practice. and practicing starts with trying the sport for the first time. and i'm happy to say, today we are men, for we Curled like no one has ever curled before! the bumps, the freezes, the hammers, not bad for a first day. what else can we say? it was total beginner domination. and that leads to no where other than total human domination. it is only a matter of time.
so if you curl.... if you think you have what it takes... let that be a warning.
the dominion are coming, and curling may never be the same...

the Dominion are currently in mourning following the loss to Russia in the mens' quarter finals in hockey at the olympics.
We would like to say that the loss is NOT wayne or todd's fault, and that we hope to see them with team canada in 2010 when we win gold at home.
until then, let us never speak of this day again...
