So... it's getting sunny again!! So... it's weird talking about a song called "Summer's Gone" when it's quite clearly arriving, but shush!!

Happy new year!!
Hope you had a great holiday season and a fantastic new year. I got to spend the season with my girlfriend and her family in Dallas - fantastic time had by all. Would love to hear any interesting stories.

So... what a way to start 2009!! Chris Tomlin's latest album, "Hello Love", has just been nominated for a Grammy, and, as I hope you're aware, I have a song on that CD - "Love" - that I co-wrote with Cary Pierce. HOW INSANE IS THAT!?!? I'm really excited about this, that's for sure.

Let's all wish Chris the best of luck!

So let's all make the most of 2009! New starts, new challenges, new things :)

Hello there!
I'm really excited to let you know that a song I wrote with my friend and producer Cary Pierce and that will close my upcoming EP is now track number 6 on Chris Tomlin's latest CD "Hello Love", the song is called "Love". How exciting is that!

Chris sounds absolutely fantastic and it features the watoto children's choir, it's ridiculously cool and everyone should definately check it out!

With influences of Lifehouse, Gin Blossoms, Vertical Horizon and Better Than Ezra the Oxford, England based Mike Finley has made his debut Ep, and it's impressing collection of songs. The producer here is none less than the melodic.net hero Cary Pierce know for his solo album, Jackopierce period and some great productions of Kai Brown ad Jon Abel to mention a few. Add then some top notch musician here that have worked giants like Goo Goo Dolls, Jewel, Jars of Clay, Michael McDonald and you have a complete package that wants you to have more.
The tunes then are as impressive as the players with a really nice modern singer songwriter touch not far away from his influences, but maybe more to Graham Colton and Matt Nathanson. He mixes super catchy pop/rock with more traditional singer songwriter rock and this combination is really working I can tell you. And the fact that he comes from England really separates him from the rest and makes it even better in my opinion with a personal touch.
Songs that sticks out on "The Way We Are" are the Gin Blossoms like opener "summers's Gone" and the final "Love". But between those to up-tempo ones is the song that could change it all. "Good Morning America" with the coolest lyrics this year in "I loves this land where the beer tastes like water, driving on the wrong side of the road" is a hit with a really slow and dreamlike melody. I could really see this one in a commercial or some tv-show with a strong message and a melody that just stuck at once.
"The Way We Are" is a really strong Ep that will be out very soon and hopefully with a full length to follow, cause I want more!

Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates recently but I've had many spinning plates to take care of.

I wanted to give you all the latest info on my newest EP - "The way we are". Firstly, I have to say I'm SO EXCITED about it, I really can't wait for you all to hear it! Five brand new songs written by myself and Cary Pierce. I've had some of the best musicians in the world playing on them, I've had the best behind-the-scenes team imaginable. It's going to be huge!

Tantalising, eh? You'll love them! I'll post some samples ASAP so you can hear what I'm so happy about.

Now for the updates:

The CD is currently with the very talented Rob "Wex" Weschler for mixing and mastering. He's going to make it sound VERY nice, that's for sure.

I'm also trying to get artwork sorted. I have a few ideas on the go, but at the moment Cary and I are trying to sort something out.
