Current mood:  artistic
So, I thought it would be fun to compile a list of what I consider to be the songs with the best lyrics. Of course, this will be totally biased, so please don't be offended if I include songs by people you've never heard of, while excluding someone you consider a legend. That aside, I tried (and maybe failed) to keep it a list of the absolutely best lyrics written, and not a list of my favorites, that would be all Amanda Palmer and The Dresden Dolls so...
I also tried to keep the amount of songs by the same artist to a minimum. Sometimes this was hard.
I plan to do lists for all sorts of things, like the best vocals, best guitar songs, best bass songs, best drum songs, best use of strings, etc.. so anyway
Also the first like half are hardly in much of an order, but the last few are in a particular order leading towards the best song.

15.Capitol G-Nine inch Nails: Trent is pretty great.
14.This Charming Man-The Smiths: Great song with few lyrics and then repeat. It really is fantastic and simple.
13.Fireworks- Siouxsie and the Banshees:Steven Severin wrote the lyrics for this one. They are amzing, I love the beautiful description. I love how so many of their lyrics were like elaborate observations.
12.Have To Drive- Amanda Palmer: What can I say, this song is amazing.
11.On The Radio-Regina Spektor: Despite the upbeat tone of this song, the beauty of it's lyrics make me cry.
10.There's A Good Reason These Tables Are Numbered Honey. You Just Haven't Thought Of It Yet-Panic! at the Disco: It was really hard to decide which Panic song to include, I first decided it had to be from the first record, because I could pretty much include the whole thing. Ryan Ross is a god.
9.Truce- The Dresden Dolls: I LOVE this song. I was hard to decide which Dresden Dolls song to include as well. It came down to Boston, Sing and Truce all oddly the last song on their respective albums. Truce won. And that's that....
8.Rusty The Skatemaker- Rasputina: Lovely. Just completely beautiful, this song makes you feel cold. but not your heart.
7.The Trapeze Swinger-Iron&Wine: The beauty here is amazing. This song makes me well up every time (no pun intended). I don't really care for the christian overtones, but it doesnt even matter, because this song is so beautiful.
6.Land Locked Blues-Bright Eyes: this is the song that made me feel that it was OK to like country and folk music. Conor Oberst is amazing. He is such a talented lyrisist.
5.A Day In The Life-The Beatles: What kind of list would this be without the Beatles? John Lennon is a god. And they are even better because of Paul's sharp contrast. Those guys were fantastic together.
4.Thirteen-Big Star: Garbage covered this song, which is why I know it. This song is just so beautiful, and makes me so happy, it is really a time machine in disguise of a song. I miss 13, I miss Newmarket, I miss everyone there. I love this song for bring me back there. Sorry that was a bit of a personal description.
3.Loveology-Regina Spektor: I had to include another Regina song. I love how real some of her songs make me feel. Especially some of the ones that never made her records, like this one. This song brings me to tears. And what tops it off is the one person at the end who claps when I'm assuming they were instructed not to. It really paints a picture. If you want to know what I'm talking about I'll send you an email with it if you request it. So amazing.
2.Ways to Love-Jason Webley: This is just so amazing, this song was crafted so perfectly, the vocals, the music, but the lyrics really stand out. It's amazing. Amazing Amazing AMAZING.
1.I Believe In Symmetry- Bright Eyes: I simply couldn't restrict myself to just one song written by Conor Oberst. This song has what are probably the best lyrics ever written. Conor is not a great singer, but it doesnt even matter with lyrics like this. He is a poet, he is fantastic. I love this song, it is awesome.

Current mood:  weird
The strangest thing happened earlier this month, it was very early january, the 3rd or 4th, when we went to the mall, at Hot Topic I flipped through the vinyl records and saw several albums I wanted, MSI's If, The Killers Day & Age, The Velvet Underground & Nico, Radioheads Kid A, and most importantly The Stooges Raw Power, I really wanted this album already because I love the track I Need Somebody. I didnt buy it but the whole day it was in the back of my head. Right before we left I headed back and bought it. This was the first Stooges album I've bought/listened to all the way through. Several days later I discovered that Ron Asheton, guitarist for the Stooges (although he played bass on Raw Power) was found dead of a heart attack in his home on the 6th. They guess he died several days earlier. This means that in the time I bought the album and subsequently listened to it, the man playing bass on that record 36 years earlier, as well as an important figure in the band, was lying dead on the floor in his living room. I'm not much for spiritual coincidences, but that's fucking weird. I also bought a shirt with the album cover on it before I found out. The Weirdness of it all.

it's been another near year since my last blog, I havnt been on lately, but we are in a place with !! Internet, and I really felt like doin the whole myspace thing. So, last month we got some money to spend, and I went on an overdue shopping trip, unfortunately though, most of it was not spent on clothes as planned, I got a new MSI shirt, a long stripey shirt, a fishnet shirt, a pair of white suspenders, which while fashionable, ride my pants up into oblivion. I also got a Smiths shirt, a couple new pairs of stripey tights and one blank pair of footless ones, as well as a stripey scarf. The majority of my money went to a bunch of stuff I don't need but REALLY wanted. I got an MP3 player, volume 1 of the FLCL novelization (but it's ok, cause it's by the original screenwriter), Steamboy(<3), Joy Division's "Closer" on Vinyl for $3.50, NEW!!! Kasey got The Last Unicorn, which I also love so yeah, The Johnny Cash tribute "All Aboard" which features the Dresden Dolls w/ Franz Nicolay, DOUBLE SWEET, Voltaire's To The Bottom Of The Sea which rules, also has Franz Nicolay, who adds so much to Voltaires already bombass sound, and if I havnt forgotten anything else, save for a couple CDs from thrift shops, WHO KILLED AMANDA PALMER!!!!!!!!! I payed $100 plus shipping for...The CD signed by AFP and Ben Folds, the Vinyl signed by AFP, The Book, signed by AFP and Neil Gaiman, A Lithograph signed and numbered (to 672) by AFP, A T-shirt, Some unique "Crime Photo" set which I not entirely sure what it is yet, and super most awesomely, and alternate album download with just vox/piano versions of some songs, alternate versions of some songs, a solo version of Night Reconassaince, and some songs that didnt make the album, which I have been waiting to hearfor years such as Boyfriend In A Coma and 1.1.94. It also came with an automatic download of the album with two bonus tracks.

Kasey also bought me Hedwig and The Angry Inch, go watch it.

Shit, I have to go'z now. I will do something else tomorrow or something.

PS, Kasey, if you read this I'm sorry it took me so long to come up to bed, I lost track of time.

k, so I've basicallyh done nothing recently, other than School on the weekends, and watching TV. I am so excited to see the Imaginationland finale this wednesday! So far, this 3-parter is the best South Park episode in years. It's been a dry couple of seasons, ever since season 7, things have been going downhill, while there were still hits like Fat Butt & Panake head, and Casa Bonita there were increasingly more misses as the years rolled on, Quest for Ratings, The Losing Edge, Free Willzyx, and my personal least favorite, Stanley's Cup. Some rare scattered episodes that I really enjoyed have aired as well, but youll notice that most are just "eh", anyway, some of those rare gems include Good Times with Weapons, Woodland Critter Christmas, Miss Teacher Bangs a Boy, Hell On Earth 2006, and Most recently Cartman Sucks. Season 11 has not had any especially bad episodes, and while I think it is not the same as the seasons 4-6 humor that I loved, it is starting to get good again. Then again seasons 4-6 were nothing like 2-3 which was also fantastic.(season 1 was terrible, not in the way that 8-10 were terrible, but it just wasn't that good.) Anyway, onto business that doesn't involve my useless rambling.

I saw this movie, Du Er Ikke Alene. It Fucking Rules!! It is a beautiful danish coming of age story, mostly about the relationship between two boys, Bo and Kim. It is from 1978, so expect long hair and guys wearing what I'm pretty sure is defined as a blouse by todays standards. Seriously, what was it with that?....I think that 70s fashion was actually kinda cute...and I think we should bring the hairstyles back...shut.the.fuck.up. Anyway, it's a really good movie.

Nothing else to say, but I gotta go.

Hey, I havn't really done much, but I feel like I should write something.

I discovered my like, fucking Idol, Mika Doll, he is Awesome, you should dedicate your soul to him, serve your life to his bidding, and become his eternal slave in the afterlife, because YOU are plastic, so unlike him.... anyway. I'm not sure if it's just me, but MySpace music is choppy and skips a lot, so if you look him up on youtube there are a couple slideshow vids with his songs.

So I saw the Billy and Mandy Movie, Big Boogey Adventure the other day, and since have been in a pretty big Billy and Mandy mood, in which I found out that the show ended this september, but there will be one more special, a Kids Next Door crossover. Sad news, but it had a good run. Though I am excited to hear that there will be a spin-off, Underfist. I am excited. Anyway, yeah, bluh bloop.

Umm, I watched Edward Scissorhands yesterday, that's always fun.

Well, I've got nothing else to say, yeah, my life is boring, I havn't had a excuse to do my makeup all week. :p
