hi there,
well, i didn't sit still because i get money from the government to make, produce, write and perform music.. so i guess i can't escape it, and it makes me more productive than i've ever been before.

so now i've been working on a few new songs and decided to make a real DIY special ep. the sound of the songs is a little different than "sur la route", a lot more spacier (partly because i just discovered the ebow) and with more piano. lyrics are based on religion, life after death, living happily ever after and vampires. 

i'm planning to make a cool extra thing on it, a cd-rom bonus thing, but i don't know how to make that.. well should be able to figure it out. i want to have the whole live set i did on the pino plaza all stars to the rescue party last friday, because it rocked. and some other features like videoclips and remixes.

i hope to have this ep done by the end of january, because i will be going to france again! this time with kim janssen, www.myspace.com/kimjanssen, we both are gonna play solo sets. we still have open slots so if you have any suggestions please contact me. i will have the ep with me on tour then!

hey there!

there's a new track by the subhuman on the snowstar records compilation! to celebrate the 15th release, snowstar asked 10 artists to give an unreleased track to put on this compilation. i wrote "howlin' at the moon", a track about being on drugs and lie about it. it's quite old but i decided to finish it for this compilation because i like the banjo and the depressing sound, which remind me of my older days haha.

Hell yeah! I finally received the package!

I got 300 copies of a lovely sounding record in a lovely sleeve... for only 5 euros.

good news on the vinyl front!
i just received the test pressings of my vinyl record from the lovely record industry, and they sound awesome! really clear, good low sound, warm.. i had to get used to the sound a little bit, of course i had heard the songs over and over again for 2 years now, but it has this really awesome vintage touch over it.
so i receive the real bunch of copies on tuesday 25th :D

finally i have some time (because i was awake early for some reason) to update this myspace again. well, the "all birds dream of being human" project with The Things We Are (Joost Stokhof) was awesome!

i have uploaded two songs from the book/cd on myspace, called "we don't remember who we are" and "the journey", hope you like 'em. unfortunately (well, it's also pretty damn good, for us) we sold out all the copies of the book+cd, so we don't have anything left for you, you have to do it with the pictures. maybe i will upload a zip-file in the future so you can hear all the songs.

more news regarding the "sur la route" record: the lovely people at record industry are currently pressing the vinyl. i should have it in a few weeks i guess... took a lot of stress, i'm never making records again haha :) but in the end it should be here for 5 euros only! so please help me out with this one, i'm losing a lot of money otherwise...

and they are good songs. with nice artwork. enough reasons to buy it :)

On the 5th of july The Things We Are & The Subhuman present their newest project called 'All Birds Dream of Being Human'. We're not going to tell you too much, just that you have to be there, check the details on the flyer and make sure to be on time. i have had a lot of trouble with the company that presses my records. i think they are bankrupt. so i don't have any records..
now i am gathering some money and i think i am gonna press my records at the Record Industry in the netherlands, they seem quite reliable.

DON'T GO TO MEDIASOURCING (UK) BECAUSE THEY FUCK YOU UP, EAT YOUR MONEY AND HAVE NO SERVICE AT ALL!!!

so more details about the 7" soon, should be out this summer though if everything goes right..i'm really sorry to everyone who has been waiting this long.
