On the woodland threshold In twilight could be seen Heard behind the warning wind Felt within a dream Then the thundering footsteps Heathen battery A cry from the Mountain Gog and Magog A trumpet call to thee Fucking wizard calls your name We will show you the disease Now you're riding hell for leather In the kingdom of the sea Join the battle brothers Raise your fist my friends At the rotting lord Fortillion year. The Gods have come again. Denizens of believers Wander this burial ground. In the wake of the inferno Lay the carcass hallowed hound.

A few months back we visited our friend Kurt @ God City in Salem Massachusetts and recorded seven songs. We recorded all seven tracks almost live in roughly six hrs on a Friday. By "almost" we mean we set up in the same room and played the songs together (as opposed to tracking each instrument seperately) minus the vocals and guitar solos. If Nick hadn't left his bass back in Allston Mike and Matt wouldn't have had to drive back from Salem to get it and we may have had more than six hrs. Ultimately it didn't matter as we really put those songs down. Rumor has it we put down Ross The Boss in one take. Yeah. We went back on Saturday and Mike recorded his guitar solos and Matt recorded his vocals. We also got some amazing hot dogs with inappropriate amounts of sour kraut. We tried to go back on Sunday morning but Kurt wouldn't let us in until later in the afternoon. He said he wanted to get solid mixes before we started giving him feedback, however we suspect he was just sick of us and probably wanted some quality time with Sneezer Butler. When we arrived later that afternoon Kurt had things sounding really fine. So fine that we really didn't have all that much to say other than the typical useless things engineers/producers are used to hearing from know-nothing musicians, like "can you make it a little more brown sounding?" or "it's sounding a little square and I think we're going for a more shapeless sound." We don't think he listened to us which in hindsight is probably a good thing. He's the professional after all. We're not quite sure how or when this recording will surface for public consumption, but rest assured, come hell or high water, it will. We might also have t-shirts with a fancy design done by Matt. In the meantime, the two top songs on our profile, Phantom Glue (also our new name - Angels Of Meth was played out, right?!) and Gog & Magog are from that blurry weekend session with Kurt. Maybe we'll put another song up at some point, but who knows really.
