ViX gigs with Ginger for the first time since her stint as "Ginger & The Sonic Circus" backing vocalist this Sunday 3rd May @ JBs Dudley.

It's gonna be bostin to play with my good pal Ginger and co again. Touring in the Sonic Circus was undoubtedly one of the best experiences I've ever had as a musician.

Fans always ask when I'm gonna be doing stuff with Ginger & co again so I hope this satisfies for now at least!

Plus Laika Dog, Tony Wright's (of Terrorvision) band. Woo!

My grrrl band "ViX n The Kix" are currently sitting in puddles of excitement...

See y'all there for a ROCKIN' GOOD NIGHT!!

Dead chuffed! Another luvly review!

Here's a lil snippet:

we were treated to the magnificence of Queen Vix and her Kix. I love this band - great vocals, classy pop with a grungy underbelly and lashings of glamour - and last night's set was another fine performance with, I think I'm right in saying, two new tracks - Hero and Radio. It's good to hear some new stuff - now we need the album. What's that? They've done one? It's coming out in the spring. Oh deep joy. They're gigging a fair bit over the next few weeks so you can get yourself a Vix and Kix fix too.

Chris Tye / Leitmotif / Jodi Lawrence / Vix n'the Kix The Rainbow Digbeth Friday 30th November 2007

Vix n'the Kix (pictured) could've been headliners this week (after all in terms of sheer superstardom Vix - with a clutch of top 10 indie and mainstream hits from her Fuzzbox days) is a bit of a legend. But they were on first. Not a problem as such, but they deserved a much bigger audience...people of Birmingham...this is a fine band. Wake up. Turn off 'I'm a Celebrity Pig Milker' and get your ass down to the next Vix n'the Kix gig.

The last (and only time) I'd seen them was at their second ever gig. They were good then, but after a year or so of gigging, writing and getting into the swing of things they've grown into a much more impressive and confident group. I bet the recent tour to the Middle East helped. Yes. The Middle East. Playing with Fun Lovin' Criminals no less. Impressive huh? Well, I think so. I also think the Vix n' the Kix album (due out in the Spring sometime) deserves some serious attention. I've no idea what tracks are going to be on it but If and Bye Bye have to feature. If kind of reminded me of Fleetwood Mac in places. The Stevie Nicks era obviously. Whilst Bye Bye is classix Fuzzbox for the 21st Century. What I like also like about the Vix n'the Kix is that they look good. I don't just mean sexy, sexy hubba hubba...but they look like a band. They have a clear, cool style. They make the effort, which, let's face it, few bands do these days...blokes in particular (looking like a builder in a shell suit ain't making an effort). Anyway, this is turning into a dissertation on pop fashions. Suffice to say, I love Vix n'the Kix and, if there is any justice in this mad, bad old world they will bestride the pop landscape like great big things that bestride stuff. So there.

ViX, the Kix and bearded Chix! (?!)

....  It has to be Moseley Fesitval 2007!

The 2nd weekend of August finally saw for the much anticipated and

rescheduled Moseley Festival.

Originally postponed due to bad weather the occasion could not have seen a further contrast from the intended passed.  This time the sun was shining, bands were playing to an impressive turnout who were happily drinking and eating the 2-day affair away whilst indulging in some of the finest new musical talent about!

A key attraction and one of the groups to be closing the festival were of course "ViX n the Kix". The brilliant Birmingham-based girls, ViX, Louise, Bexx and... their er... token man in a dress (?!?) - more about that in a bit! - were on fine form belting out future hits from ViX's forthcoming album "Moon On A Stick" and of course Indie anthem and Fuzzbox fave "Rules 'n' Regulations"! ViX held the crowd throughout with her kooky tales and had them pleading for an encore that scheduling sadly wouldn't allow.

The occasion also allowed for those who attended a quick glimpse of the group's new guitarist who in good fashion was ousted out of the crowd by ViX to give a wave and make it known she was a 'Kix' in the making!  For this performance however, bearded lady, Neil 'Thor' Darbyshire, affectionately monikered Wendy 'the hula gal' by ViX, had been drafted in to take lead on guitar and loved indulging in every moment. But was it the music or the dressing up? You decide!

The rock chicks now have just one more date left on their current Midlands tour, but with a new guitarist, an imminent debut single and promo video, a full length album and full National tour on the horizon, as well as one or two more surprises still to come, the future is looking very exciting for them indeed!

They still have a limited edition range of tour merchandise available, including posters, badges and signed CD's, which can now be purchased online through www.myspace.com/vixvixvix
