Well, for those of you who haven't picked up on the fact that BLyND hasn't been around for a long while probably guessed that the band dissolved and is no more. You are correct. Jobs and real life stuff came into play plus the fact that we'd been around in the Tucson, Phoenix, California scene for 8 years. SOoooo... it was time for a change for all of us.
Jon went on to form Stands With Fists and joined forces with a slew of other Tucson veterans to form the band which has had much success. They play everything from a heavy style to a more Tool-like trippy sound. Check them out on Myspace!
Sean, Ryan M., and Ryan L. went on to form a band called Abandoned By Heroes which is a primarily acoustic based band that has spent the past 8 months writing about 18 songs (both covers and originals). The former lead singer of a past Tucson band, Off White (Tony), took the helm and is absolutely a sick singer. Also added, another Shawn who's a prodigy at the keys. No folks, Ryan M. is not doing sound effects/wiki-wiki stuff (he plays the bass now). The sound is a 180 degree difference from BLyND but still carries that undertone of BLyND's style which had always bridged off so many other playing styles. Check them out on Myspace at myspace.com/abandonedbyheroes.
Furthermore, we will continue to update this Myspace profile and keep the past music coming for your listening enjoyment. So don't go anywhere, just enjoy the fact that we aren't completely gone ;)

STATIC came out with a BANG!! Well, it's been a long, hard year working to get this album out and we made it happen - WITH the help of all our friends, fans, and other supporters... The CD Release Party was INSANE!! We sold out City Limits and had 615 people come through their doors on December 9th to celebrate the release of the new CD. Mr. Stagz McNasty himself, from local radio station KFMA's Frank Show, was the announcer as we went on and all you crazy fuckers who were there stayed and danced, moshed and crowd surfed to You Apart, Ph8 and BLyND until we finished our set around midnight. Adrian Wilson graced the stage for a finale with his violin and still, the crowd stayed and watched - It was an amazing display. Poor Sammy the teddy bear didn't do so well, though - he was decapitated and shredded in the pit. But it was all for a GREAT cause. And some psycho teddy-killer won a huge gift certificate to Fat Head Glass because of it. We were approached by a bunch of different people who made some serious journeys to get to the show... Including our friend, Jon, who drove all the way from fucking Sacramento, and we saw alot of faces from Phoenix, too... SCHWEEEET. Keep up the support and hopefully we'll get to your town and see you soon! Thanks to Fat Head, JJ's Smoke Shop, Metro Tattoo, Heavy Hitter, City Limits and all of our other sponsors for hooking up a SICK evening to remember. And a HUGE thanks to all of those who came out to show us some love and enjoy a great show and buy our shit - it keeps us going! Contact us about purchasing the new album "Static" today!! Your Friends, ::BLyND::

NEW CD on it's way!
We would have to say that last night we have come to hear the mastered version of the CD! Bet you all wish you could too. Well it's that much closer to the final released product. I'm getting quotes back from printers so we can get this thing printed, pressed, and packaged. Yes, that costs money so bear with us. Of course, we do accept donations
What to expect from this CD...
Countless hours of a painstaking process that still won't be to our standards but will be close.
Our music fresh and in your face. Heaviest stuff we've put out without going completely overboard with the hardcore/metal. You be the judge!
Hopefully just a damn good CD for your CD player!

We haven't really done much to our MySpace account because we are patiently awaiting the release of our new album. Then it's a push to get everyone to listen and hopefully like it. We are being super picky and very professional about it. This is it... we'll either go all the way with this one or we'll continue our jobs as transients and hobos.... just kidding.
Anyhow... look for the new album to be released in early (hopefully) 2005!!

So we've been talking to promoters in friggin Shanghai, China of all places. They want us to do a tour over there. We don't have all the details nor are we saying we're actually going. Shit, we could get Shanghai'd in Shanghai. That would suck but if they do business over there like most of the promoters and clubs do here... not happening. But we're positive and give everyone the benefit of the doubt. More to come on this.
